Gobble Gobble Gobble!

Turkey
T
homas Q. Turkey

Nicole at Sister's Choice Blog made a version of this block, which she found on Bee in My Bonnet. When I saw Nicole's turkey block, I, of course, had to make one of my own. I love turkeys. I even have a turkey collection, which I must blog about someday. Not real turkeys. Ceramic ones, etc.

Both Nicole and Lori (at Bee in My Bonnet) made place mats from their turkey blocks. I'm going to machine quilt mine (I do pretty good with machine quilting if the project is small.) Then I'm going to hang him in my kitchen. Not just for Thanksgiving, but all year.

Life is full of "turkeys" some days, but this lil guy is a beaut!! Love all his colors. Enjoy!

How wonderful your colorful Tom Turkey is and applause for how quickly you made it! I saw both Nicole's and the tutorial on Lori's blog. Too cute!

Well done!

I am reminded that it's time to get my one ceramic turkey out. I also have one of those small candle turkeys and two candle Pilgrims from my childhood.

Hugs!

Susan, this is so cute! I love how you made him for year-round, and I absolutely am crazy about your royal blue/gold color combination! When looking at Nicole's version and your version I really like them better than Lori's original Mr. Tom Turkey. Good job! :)

Oops, guess it is more of a navy or black and gold color combination, but I still love it!
