Rita hosted our bee meeting yesterday. In addition to great food and fun visiting, we got a tour of Rita's new house.
There was scant show-and-tell, but what there was was wonderful.
Cyndi suggested that perhaps we need a group project to inspire us and get our creative fires burning. We discussed joining the current crafty trend of making prayer flags. If you aren't familiar with prayer flags, take a look at this story. http://theprayerflagproject.blogspot.com
We decided to think about the idea during the coming month, maybe look for some examples, and discuss it further at our next meeting. Below are a few examples I found online.

Love the show-and-tell quilts and I hope Rita is enjoying her new home.
Interesting idea and such wonderful, imaginative prayer flags and festive flags are pictured! I've never made one and until now, hadn't heard of prayer flags other than those that were in National Geographic photos of Nepal and northern India when I was a child (if memory serves).
Applause that your fingers play together well enough that you can crochet! My fingers don't.
Hugs!

I have made banners, but not prayer banners. I love the idea!!! There are 2 homes on my street that have banners hanging outside on the porch. I bet that is what they are. Love the idea!!! I am going to start the thinking machine and see what I can come up with.
Maybe we could trade banners???
