"I don't want to kill you, and you don't want to be dead."

Movie night at The Yellow House. Ah, what fun. Sister Joanne and handsome nephew Jed came over last night. After all the Furbies got their requisite pets and loving from the guests, we all settled in and dialed up a great classic western, "Silverado," on the Netflix.

It's hard to believe that this film hit the silver screen almost 30 years ago, 1985. I've watched it so many times, I can recite much of the dialog, but I still love it. Not only is the dialog first class, but so is the acting, casting, music, and cinematography.

This was young Kevin Costner's first major roll, and one where he did some of his best acting, in my opinion.

If you've never seen this one, and you like a good movie, I suggest you give it a watch.

Silverado is one of our favorite movies, too, and we don't tire of watching it.

Cheers for family fun and movie nights - and for extra loving for the 4-legged family members!

It's sunny and horribly hot here today but perhaps, maybe, we'll get much needed rain tomorrow and Friday. Cooler weather would be nice, too...

Hugs!

One of my favorite lines in the movie is where the little boy says "Jake (Kevin Costner) fell off his horse."

Hi Susan -- Silverado is one of our favorite movies too. We own and watch it at least twice a year. When I was in a semi-professional choir several years ago, so was the wife of the music composer who featured an English horn prominently throughout the score. He was playing the English horn himself!
