Anna is cleaning downstairs, so I'm hold up in the sewing room trying to stay out of her way. I got a little bit of sewing done. The photo shows the friendship triangles that I made for our outgoing guild president's quilt. I also got my guild block of the month made. But I don't like it enough to show a photo. I didn't have any fabric that matched or even coordinated with what I was supposed to match, but it will have to do.
I picked up my Crayon Challenge quilt from my long-arm buddy Lena last week. Now I have to bind it and sew on a few embellishments that I have planned. I can't wait to show it here. I really like it. But I think it's supposed to remain "classified" until the challenge show at guild next month. But just as soon as that's over, I'll show it here.
Blackberry Winter has left us. The high is forecast to reach the 90s this week. So from now until October, I'll be inside even more than usual, trying to stay cool. I am NOT a summer person.
For some reason that's a mystery to me, I left out some of the guild show-and-tell photos from last week. So here are the ones I forgot to post.

I'm not a summer hot-weather person either. It seems since getting lupus (something I did NOT vote for!), I feel the heat horribly and it takes forever to cool off. My face turns bright red just because I get hot and it's not attractive at all. Oh, and being out in the sunshine will likely cause a lupus flare when everything is worse so I have to stay covered up or indoors. Bother! BUT, cheers for air-conditioning, iced tea, and the fact that making quilts can be done indoors!
Love the quilts in their glorious array of colors and patterns. The quilts in the last photo just show how differnt fabrics make identical blocks look unique!
Hugs!
