Fat Cats on a Fat Tuesday

Taco and Bella say Good Morning

It's been a rough few days. I have felt so tired and weak that even taking a shower and getting dressed feels like climbing a mountain.

But yesterday, I drug myself out of bed and went to Sally's house for the March meeting of our quilting bee. It was a potluck event, and I made cinnamon monkey bread to take. The spread was delicious, especially Mary S.'s Bananas Foster Bread Pudding.

Mary also brought our quilt of valor, which she had finished. And I brought the pillowcase that I made to go with it. There was lots of other wonderful show and tell, but I forgot to bring my camera, so I can't show any of it.

I paid for my outing when I got home. Slept all afternoon. Jesse ate dinner out, so I didn't cook. Just watched "The Following" and "Castle" and went back to bed. I didn't sleep well all night, probably because I had spent the afternoon unconscious. This morning, I'm trying to get some laundry done.

I have done a lot of work on my crayon challenge quilt and almost have the top done. I would very much like to hand quilt it--but I'm not sure that will happen.

Just when we thought spring was here (temps in the 70s), it has turned very cold again. But that's normal for March in Alabama.

Happy Fat Tuesday, everyone.

I think that's pretty much March everywhere. We're so anxious for Spring, especially when Mother Nature gives us glimpses of it ... before she reminds us that it's still Winter.

Rest up. I hope your energy level pops back up soon.

We share the same disability. It just sucks!!! hahaha
I totally understand the fatigue and pj days, and resting. When I feel ok, I try to pace myself and get as much done as I can, we are talking of maybe working a couple of hours.
Thinking of you. It is so cold here in Kansas! Have never seen this kind of a winter here.

Yep, March came in like a lion here with ice, wintery mix, and about 4" of snow yesterday, a 5*F low last night so all froze, and today some is thawing. This was after a lovely 70*F Sunday.

I'm sorry to hear you've beed feeling so tired. I have, too, so wonder if it's the weather, the barometric pressure, or if we're long distance fatigue twins. Go figure!

Applause for your progress on your crayon quilt top! Be nice to yourself and get it machine quilted by someone who will keep it a secret.

Perhaps someone in your bee will kindly send you some show and tell photos as they have in the past.

Wishing you good rest and sweet dreams each night forevermore. This is according to my personal policy of wishing BIG. Why not wish big?

Hugs!

I'm loving the quilt the cats are lying on! Is it Broken Dishes? Have you written about it in past posts? Hope you are feeling better each day.

I watch 'the following' too!!! Do u think there are horrid people like that in the world?? It is very watchable, but I struggle with the meanness and lack of morals....

When you have really fatigued days, does your skin hurt, too? Some of mine is from sciatica which has worsened over the years. I'm about due for an injection. Even if mine isn't fibro, it feels much like you describe. I've overdone it today. Heating pad & bed feels good. Your quilts are beautiful. I scrapbook, so I know how tiring using your arms & upper body/shoulders can be. Hope you're feeling better soon.
