The first day of Birmingham Quilters Guild's Quiltfest 2013 was a great success. The highlight for me was that my "Bunnies in the Cabin" quilt won a first place ribbon. This was my first blue ribbon win. I have second and third place ribbons and honorable mentions, but never a blue before. I'm right proud of my bunny quilt. Of course, Elayne Vognild's beautiful long-arm quilting, I'm sure, went a long way toward capturing the win.
One more day to go. Be sure to check my blog throughout the coming week for lots of quilt show pictures. You won't believe the array of gorgeous quilted art on display.

CONGRATULATIONS! I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to enter a quilt in a show, but I'm sure glad other folks do!! I'll be looking forward to more pictures.

I'm SO happy for you!! Definitely adorable! I will really look forward to the coming pictures of the quilts since I did not get to attend due to just getting home from surgery on my foot. Bummer! But I will look forward to the quilt show here!
