Here's another beauty to add to my "To Be Made" list. In fact, I have made a copy of this picture and placed it in the bin with all my pink fabrics. So right after I finish the Granny Square quilt and the shirt quilt and the Many Trips and the Dollhouse and Pink Houses and about a half dozen other projects, I'm going to make it.
I'm waiting for the insurance company's approval for the MRI on my knee. It has been almost a week now since I called my doctor. What is it with health insurance companies? Do they just not care that someone is in extreme discomfort and only they can do anything about it?
I got a knee brace yesterday and have been wearing it. It seems to be helping just a little, but a little is better than none. Sleeping for more than a couple of hours at a time is impossible. I woke up at 5:00 this morning with the knee screaming with pain and Taco doing the Harlem shake on top of my legs. After getting myself untangled from the covers, pillows, and animals, I got up and made coffee. I went back to bed with a steaming cup and my book for a couple more hours. I'm reading Mrs. Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children--and I'm loving it.
I have been busy this morning writing instructions for guild blocks of the month and an article for our guild's newsletter. I'm going to make a Granny Square block or two, then I think I'll go downstairs and cuddle up and a couch full of critters and read some more.

That is a pretty quilt. Makes my mouth water, thinking of strawberries and cream. Must be the first day of spring or something; I've got strawberries on the mind.
Your knee'd gave me a chuckle. Do hope your ins co gets on the ball for you.

That quilt is lovely - prettiest color arrangement in the world. (I love pink, too.) Reminds me of some kind of pink candy that had dark red gummy bits in it.

I just had to giggle when picturing Taco doing the Harlem Shake on your legs! Love that white/pink/red quilt. Hope you get your MRI approval soon. REAL soon!

Love the pink Log Cabin quilt. Hope you feel great when the time comes for you to make it and you can call it "In the Pink"! Of course, I hope you feel great long before you get thru with your UFO list.
Many of my fabric bundles have patterns tucked in so I remember what I planned to do with each one. Often, my plans have changed with I get to each bundle ...
If I were you, I'd call the doctor's office to find out the date of their request to the insurance company. Then call the insurance company to raise Cain about their slow response when you are in such pain. Hope you get that approval and much kneeded relief very soon.
Hugs!

Hope that the MRI is approved soon! You might call your doc and request "either pain pills....or push for approval"....not right that you should have to through the weekend waiting in pain. By the way.....really enjoying the cookbook....and love that you contributed your hummingbird cake recipe!

Oh, Susan, I'm so sorry things are dragging on with the MRI. Meanwhile, that lovely pink quilt makes me drool. Hope you're improved soon.
