A Bee-licious Meeting

The February meeting of the Piecemakers Quilting Bee at my friend Mary S.'s house yesterday was so much fun. We saw oodles of great show-and-tell, enjoyed wonderful treats that Mary had whipped up for us, and indulged in lots of talk and laughter. Here are some photos.

This was hanging from Mary S.'s second floor railing. I meant to ask her about it, but forgot.

B8Cindy M. shows her bright and pretty cuddle quilt.

B9That's Sally behind this colorful beauty.

B10Doris M.'s cute quilted birdcage

B11
Doris M.'s zentangles. These are pen and ink, but Doris is planning to make a quilted zentangle.

B13Inside Doris's house. More people appear behind this one.

B14Seen hanging over the back of a chair in Mary S.'s kitchen

After show-and-tell, Mary took us upstairs to her sewing room to demonstrate for us how easy it is to cut quilt pieces with her new Accuquilt Studio fabric cutter. More about all this tomorrow.

What a happy array of glorious eye candy in each and every picture! Thank you for taking us to guild with you!

I'm interested in the quilt that was hanging over the stair railing and would like to make this for each of our boys because it reminds me of a video game.

The zentangles are amazing. Did Doris M. draw those designs on fabric or is there a book, pattern, or website for this?

FIL continues to hang in there and the uncertainty is wearing us all down.

Hugs!

Oh, I NEEDED this today! LOVE seeing all the pretty ladies with their lovely quilted pieces! You KNOW I like that tooth pillow. SO ADORABLE! And the bird cage? I wish I could do that! Quilts equate to 'comfort & peace' for me, and it always soothes me to look at them! LOVE YOU!!!

Mary S's quilt might be Tokyo Subway Map by Oh, Fransson! I remember seeing her free pattern on her blog. I've always thought it would be a fun one to do.

Having ridden the Tokyo subway I can attest that that is what it is like- a lot of subway lines crossing but you sure can get around easily and sooooo clean.
