It Came Upon a Black Friday: A Modern Christmas Carol
It came upon a Black Friday,
That glorious shopping spree,
That Bubba brought his gun with him
To make sure he got that tee-vee.
The mob was teeming down the aisles,
And everyone wanted to be
The first to get his hands upon
That 55-inch HDTV.
But Bubba had eaten too much turkey
And dressing and gravy and such
At his family's big Thanksfeasting
That they laughingly called a small lunch.
Even though he had worn his go-fasties,
And remembered his stretchiest drawers,
He was still outrun by two hustlers
Who passed him just inside the doors.
"How fortunate I brought my gun with me,"
Said Bubba as the two goons ran by.
"Thank God for the Second Amendment
That lets me go armed on the sly."
Bubba reached into his jacket
And took out his Glock, big and mean.
He drew down on those two hustlers
Just as they had reached that wide-screen.
Bubba blew the smoke from his pistol
And crossed that tv off his list.
"When I go shopping," he stated,
"I rarely, if ever do, miss."
Our Bubba now sits in Kilby--
Twenty to life is his goal--
With only a little old analog
On which to watch the Iron Bowl.

YIKES! Glad I stayed home as did many bloggers that I visited. Sometimes saving $$ just isn't worth the hassle or the danger.
We're enjoying leftovers and having no need to cook.

One guy we know spent $300 on a tent to camp out in front of Best Buy to save $25 on a tv. Sad, sad, sad. I'm sure you're probably lounging on the couch watching the Alabama - Auburn game right now. Enjoy your weekend.
