Autumn nights, time to snuggle up with a quilt, a good book,
and something furry.
This is the first time I can ever remember that autumn weather actually arrived on the first day of autumn. September in Alabama is usually simply an extension of our suffocatingly hot and humid summers. But for the past couple of days, we have had warm dry days and chilly nights. I love it. The leaves are already turning, another phenomenon that usually doesn't happen until October.
Taco is climbing all over me, making typing difficult. I'm about to move over to Bernice (my Bernina) and try to do some sewing. I've never sewn with a cat on my shoulder. I'll have to see how that turns out.
Taco and his sister Bella have already knocked my quilt blocks into the floor several times, usually tumbling down right along with them. But they are much fun to watch.
Now Taco has gone to sleep on my chest, with his purr motor rumbling. I'm going to see if I can move him to his bed now.
Hope everyone is enjoying autumn as much as we are.

I got this plate and rack at one of the gift shops Ramey and I visited in Cave Spring, Ga., on our way back from Rome. It has become one of my favorite treasures.

Bella looks so sweet cuddled in your lovely blue and white quilt! Mind the kneading motion of her front feet as that's what tore my quilt when our cats were kittens.
Isn't happy purring the most relaxing sound? I look forward to hearing how well you were able to sew with Taco on your shoulder. Perhaps he'll be your new, loving, warm, and furry heating pad?
Love your new blue and white treasure plate! Don't you like a beautiful, thrifty find like that?!
I should be sewing but lack the umph today. Bother...
Hugs!

Susan, I think you've been hacked again. I got an email from your address but didn't open it. I tried to email you to let you know but it came back with a failure to deliver notice. Sorry. Why can't people just mind their own business and leave others alone????? Oh yeah, I love Taco and Bella!!! So cute.

Hi Susan, what a lovely post - I can just imagine you with cats asleep on you and tumbling all over you!
I'd like to add to Sandy's comment - I got an email from you that certainly wasn't from you, so I think she's right and those mean hackers have been at it again. What on earth do they do it for? Such a bunch of saddos.

Ah Susan, I love this post. I can hear (well, read) the kitty love growing in your heart very quickly. I can't have cats just now, but one day, when we close and lock our doggie doors for good, we will be getting some kittly love also. By the way, because I have Scleroderma, I have read lots and lots about stress relief and pain control because, as you know from your Fibro monster, stress can trigger a flare in the blink of an eye. Well, in my travels through cyber space, the relationships of pets in general to stress relief keeps popping up. BUT, everything says that cats provide more stress relief for chronicly ill patients for a number of reasons that I won't go into, but like I said, I can hear/see the kitty love growing fast, and I'm betting you will notice a difference in your flare ups. Especially when you are in one, stroking a cat/kitten, feeling and hearing them purr, is very theraputic. All four of your furry babies are adorable by the way. I truly can't imagine life without furry babies to love . Hugs...
