Here are all my Sunflower string blocks so far, 28 of them. Twenty more to go. I love the effect, the way they look woven. And they aren't even sewn together yet. I think this is going to be a great quilt.
I got up this morning with a solid resolve to get some serious housecleaning done. I stripped my bed, changed the sheets, put the coverlet in the washer (it smelled mightily of dog), put the leftover dishes from last night in the dishwasher and turned it on, swept the kitchen, and vacuumed the downstairs carpet. Phew! I'm now soaked with perspiration and exhausted. Guess that's all the serious housecleaning for today. I have GOT to find me a new cleaning lady for the heavy stuff.
To those of you who received suspicious emails from me yesterday or today, I apologize. The hackers and spammers have found me again. I've changed my password, and this time it's a doozie. If those crooks can find this one, I'll salute them. But they probably will.
Taco got very jealous when he found out I had posted that pretty picture of his sister yesterday and not one of him too. So here he is, having been awakened from his nap on my chest yesterday.

So now I'm off to the shower, a quick cup of tea, then I'm going to sew some more sunflower blocks.

Your quilt AND kitty are gorgeous. I love the "wonky" cut strings offset a lot - they really do look woven.

What a great quilt this Sunflower quilt will soon be and I, too, like the woven look it has, block touching block.
Taco is a cutie. I think his look says, "So WHAT??" and a yawn came next.
Applause for your accomplishments today. I wish I had your resolve and your energy. Not so on this crazy day.
Be good to you!
Hugs!

Cats can read your mind. Watch out for your phone cords. At least in our house our cat Lucy gets a "buzz" from chewing them into. We have since learned to out-think her for now - we keep them covered up or put away. Love your sunflower quilt. You always get so much done.

That kitty's got a big chin. He's gonna talk like Snagglepuss when he grows up.
