When Jesse moved in with me, I gained a roomie but lost a guest room. With the imminent arrival of my high school friend Bonnie from Virginia, I had to make arrangements, else someone would have to sleep on the couch. And while I love my couch, it really isn't made for sleeping.
So I turned my office into a guest room. That's it in the photo. With the help of Jesse and his cousin Jonathan for lifting, we got everything finished up yesterday. I think it looks very inviting. I'd feel welcome there. i hope Bonnie does.
I have to say that I am so very tired that I don't know how I'm going to finish up what I have to do today, much less make it through the entire weekend with a house guest and reunion festivities. But I will. I know I will. I wish I had not had to tire myself out getting ready so that I could enjoy my friends more. But, such is life, I guess. Now all I want to do is make it till Monday.
Bonnie is due to arrive today. I have to straighten up the downstairs, vacuum again, mop the kitchen, plan and prepare something for supper tonight, go shopping. Oh and I still haven't bathed the dogs. In fact I haven't even showered since the day before yesterday. I gotta go, y'all.

Susan, the guest room is just lovely! Your friend should enjoy staying there. The quilts on the walls would do it for me! I hope you get some rest before she arrives. Have a fun weekend!

Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your book reviews. I have been putting off reading the Hunger Games as the concept is disturbing, but think I will download it and see for mrself. Your room looks great, I hope you enjoy your friend's visit and the reunion.

I'm on my new computer at last!!!!
Your new guest room is charming and so welcoming! Cheers for you, the designer who planned the layout, and cheers for the musclemen whose strength and willingness made it into a reality!
I hope Bonnie has arrived safely and that you were able to give yourself permission to ignore some of the chores on your list so you could rest. May an endless spoon supply see you through Monday, my friend!
Enjoy the reunion!
Hugs!

Your guest room looks comfy and inviting to me! I see your Tribute to Mama quilt is hanging there as well (at least I think that's the one).
Hope you have a fun weekend and not get too tired out in the process.
