Everything in this photo, except for the wine corks and the utensils, came from either a yard sale or thrift store, and no piece cost more than five bucks. They have nothing to do with this post; I just thought they made a nice photo.
I'm feeling better this morning. The right hand seems to be back up to par, with only the usual stiffness and and soreness that my hands always have. No more deep aching. The fibro is taking a snooze, and my back is cooperating as long as I don't give it a big job to do. So, onward and upward.
There is much that needs doing around The Yellow House. The laundry has reached gigantic proportions, the dogs get dirtier and smellier every day, and the hummingbirds have almost sucked their feeders dry. But the biggy is finishing up the design for next years guild block of the month quilt, the Pinwheel Sampler.
I need to get it finished and sample blocks made before the guild meeting September 10. That gives me about two months, which is doable if I don't hit a snag. Thank goodness, a bunch of good BQG folks have volunteered to help me.
That phrase, "if I don't hit a snag," came from my daddy. He used to say that all the time, and I love it. It's very descriptive of how things go along with ease and precision, everything falling into place, until all of a sudden you hit a snag and everything goes to chaos.
Dollhouse Show & Tell
Next Sunday is July 15, the first progress date in our Dollhouse Quilt-a-Long. But I'm changing the date to Monday, July 16. If you're in the quilt-a-long and you have made progress, this will be your chance to show and tell us. I'll have a Linky so that you can post a link to you blog if you have one. If you don't have a blog, or even if you do, please send me a photo of your block so I can post it here. My email address is suscleve@yahoo.com.
Blog reader, Gypsy Rose, has joined the quiltalong. Don't worry, G.R. I'm not ignoring you. I've just been very very busy. I'll email you the pattern for the first two blocks today. The rest of you quiltalongers should receive the second block pattern today or tomorrow.
If you haven't done your block yet, don't worry. Remember, no quilting police here. Some of us just work better with deadlines, so I made some.

Cheers that you're feeling better and I hope the laundry all but jumps into the washer for you. I sorta enjoy laundry since it mostly does itself and the same goes for the dishwasher (which is running right now). If only the laundry and the dishes would put themselves away ...!
Love your thrift store finds. Isn't looking around and about too much fun?
AMIL wants to come home and do out-patient PT so am waiting for a call back about that.
Hugs!
