UFO Progress Report: Week 18

Bird Block2

This is not a UFO, but it's what I've been working on this week, the wedding banner for my friend's granddaughter. I have one of the appliqued blocks finished. And the rest of the pieces are just stuck up on my design wall for auditioning. I think it will have a scalloped border, but I'm not sure. I haven't decided if I really want to make and sew bias binding yet, and a scalloped border would require bias binding. We'll see.

Don't forget to add your link to Mr. Linky below so we can all share in what you've been doing this week.

Love the start for the wedding banner, including the two love birds! Well done!

Might you consider the look of scallops for the outer two borders like I just did on the Pansy Star pink wall hanging? It's made with rectangles that have two little triangles in the outer corners that form the next to last border. The outer border is made from the same fabric used for the little triangles. Bingo! It looks scalloped but the outer edge of the quilt is straight!

No UFO progress for me, either, but I did get the two gift wall hangings finished and in the mail headed for their recipients and next must find my sewing room under all of this stuff.

Hope you're still feeling lots better.

Hugs!

Oooh, your banner is gorgeous! Love the colors, and the applique is so perfect for a wedding! Can't wait to see this one finished!

I linked up! Daughter has been on the sofa all week, sick, so that gives me some time at the sewing machine.
