Stash to Treasure

Our guild yard sale was awesome. The room was full of vendors and shoppers. I was both. Actually, I was very good and didn't buy much at all--one book, four homemade doggie treats, and a scone.

I almost sold out. My table was overflowing at first, but I had only about half a dozen items to bring back home. I made enough money to pay the cleaning lady today, the lawn mowing boys later, and purchase the goodies for tonight's sister supper (more about that later*).

YS4
Lots and lots and lots of fabric

YS3
Plenty of do-dads

YS7
Flannels and books

YS5
I think I might have bought this vintage crocheted spread that Gwen was selling; but before I could finish procrastinating, someone else had bought it.

YS2
I can personally attest to the scrumptiousness of the homemade scones

In Other Guild Business

YS8
April Blocks of the Month

YS10
Gift from our Japanese friends

YS11
Yo-yo detail

YS12
Cheryl C. hand quilted this vintage Grandmother's Flower Garden for a friend.

YS13
Ann N. organized the making of the blocks for this quilt in honor of a friend's wedding. She also put the blocks together and hand quilted it.

YS14
Gwen C.'s jelly-roll race quilt

YS15
I donated this lap-size quilt, which I made a few years ago, to our project for a local nursing home.

YS16
Nancy M. and Craig H., teamed up to make these two cuddle quilts.

YS18
I know that this too is a collaboration, but I can't remember whose. My apologies.

*The sister crew is coming tonight for supper. We're having chicken salad, potato salad, apple pie, and vanilla ice cream. Later, Ramey and I will watch the season finale of "Justified." I don't know what we're going to do with ourselves on Tuesday nights without Raylan Givens and the folks of Harlan County. I'm not sure Raylan is going to leave any of them alive to have a next season. The title of tonight's episode is "Slaughterhouse."

Guild yard sale looks like it would have been fun, lots of goodies.
Have fun tonight.

Ah! That crocheted bedspread is divine! Wish you had nabbed it! Then I would try to talk you out of it. Can't wait to see what Raylan is up to tonight. Also, looking forward to the yummies.

Oh! What a wonderful guild sale and I'd have had trouble resisting those glorious goodies! I'm sorry you didn't get the crocheted bedspread. Sigh!

The quilts are all beautiful and it's a treat to see them. Thanks for all of the eye candy!

Have fun tonight! You might make Tuesdays your Dinner and a Movie night but that would take longer than a TV episode. If there is a favorite TV show you have seasons of on DVD, that's a possibility, too. We're watching Numb3rs and have that whole set of DVDs.

Hugs!

Wonderful stuff! I MUST make a quilt like your April block of the month, hope nobody objects to my copying. Looking forward to the sister supper.

Glad you sold so much! The quilts are as usual to die for gorgeous but I really love the wedding quilt so much. It reminds me of How to Make an American Quilt which I just had to watch for one of my classes. So neat to see it done "for real". That jelly roll quilt is wonderful too, it makes me think of Thing 3 those are her favorite colors and she loves flags.
Thanks for sharing all the lovelies and I hope dinner is spectacular.

Ahhh...you included my Grandmother's Flower Garden!! I've had that quilt so long, I've gotten quite attached to it, and I'm going to hate to see it go. :(
