Okay, I gotta quit piddling around on this computer (Pinterest is soooo tempting.) and get going on some tasks.
Before I knew I was going to have a major health scare, hospital visit, and very good reason to rest and relax, I promised to do a bunch of stuff. And it's all coming due this week.
I promised to help with dinner tonight for our women's Bible study group. I'm making baked beans, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. Then I also promised to make two pots of Santa Fe Soup for tomorrow night's kick off of our annual Women's Spiritual Conference. And I agreed to bake a hummingbird cake for a door prize.
Everything is set up and waiting to be made for tonight's and tomorrow night's dinners. But I only just now remembered the hummingbird cake thing. That will require yet another trip to the grocery store. I went back yesterday to get the things for the dinners and by the time I got home and put them up, I was totally wiped out. I did rest up enough though to make it to Ding-a-Ling (handbells) practice last night. I think I'm getting a little better. Only messed up a couple of times.
So toodle-loo, y'all. I gotta go cook!

Shoot! I need a nap after merely reading all of the cooking and baking you have ahead of you. Do you suppose you could turf the Hummingbird cake shopping list to some lovely relative who could go shopping for you while you cook up the dishes needed tonight?
I should have used your Santa Fe soup recipe when I made that dish in the crock pot on Super Bowl Sunday. The recipe I used was missing something and it wasn't very good.
I'll be sending you an email later today with my UFO progress for this week. I have actually been sewing!
Wishing you spoons aplenty.
Hugs!

Too funny! Girl, you better get out in that kitchen and rattle them pots n' pans. :-)
I hope it all turns out well and that you have a great time at all the events.
Whew, you are one busy gal.
Wishing you Blessings,
Linda

You certainly have a lot on your plate, especially after what you've been through healthwise. Good luck with it all, and don't overdo it!

I wish you would just rest, and let 'em eat someone else's cake.

I remember 2-3 years ago, you said you were going to quit promising all your time ahead of the events.

Sounds yummy. But, you better slow down.
Just plan on Saturday as a day of rest.

Susan, I hope you are alright. Everyone would understand if you had to let some that go. :) Take care!
