UFO Progress Report: Week 1 (2012)

I don't have anything to show that I haven't already shown. All those string blocks are UFOs from years ago, but I won't show them again. Instead I'm showing you this beautiful heart that I saw on Pinterest this morning. I love hearts. I want to make a heart wreath for my front door and need some really good ideas.

We have 14 participants in the UFO Bust this year. But if anybody else wants to get in on the fun, you can still join. Just let me know. Most of last year's participants have said how the challenge has given them the added incentive they need to get some of those old projects finished and make room for new ones.

Below is Mr. Linky. Please add your link and let us know what you've been up to this first week of a brand new baby year.

What a charming fabric, lace, ribbon, and pom-pom heart! Depending on size, just one of these would make a wonderful door decoration for Valentine's day.

This week I've tried to clean up the sewing room from the flurry of pre-Christmas sewing I did. I made a label for a quilt I finished last summer with the new set of .05 Pigma Micron fabric pens that Santa put in my stocking. This morning I pulled out the pink Friendship Star table topper I made last year after seeing it on Nicole's blog and it needs to be quilted and bound - another UFO for my 2012 list.

I also made a step by step set of fabric samples to help AMIL as she embarks on many, many 4 patches for her SIL's blue and white quilt.

Feeling crummy has slowed me most annoyingly, so I still have Christmas things to put away. Anyone want to come help? :)

Hugs!

I didn't finish a UFO this week either, but I did make progress on one of the quilts on my To Do list.

I love that heart. Think it would make a good door hanger if it was a bit bigger. I did some knitting to use up some yarn this week. I also have made some more progress on getting my sewing area set up. For now it is in the unfinished basement, but has two large windows and good lighting so I will not complain. Someday soon will get that area finished - just need to know how I want it laid out.

Hi Susan...I'm reporting about the same as everyone else--no UFO progress yet this year--I've been putting away Christmas--but definitely getting ready for a crafty winter. I picked my postage stamp quilt as my first UFO. (By the way, will we be getting a 2012 updated button?)

Susan, I'd love to join for 2012! I kind of fizzled out toward the end there but I'm anxious to get some of my projects done! Thanks!
