It's Done!

In spite of complaints and objections from two furry folks yesterday, I finished my "Heart to Heart" journal.

Journal1
Front Cover

Journal2
Title Spread

Journal3
Intro and Sign-in (tags in heart pocket for signing)

Journal4
My Art Spread

Journal5
Back Cover (I think maybe it needs a small heart in the top left.)

I've left my cutting table in the sewing room an absolute mess, so I hope to get that cleaned up today. Then I might work on that sewing machine cover. Haven't decided for sure. Have y'all seen Lynn's sewing machine cover that she made from the tutorial I linked? If not, go look. It's darling.
You'll love her fabric.

Happy MLK Day, everyone. I leave you with a quote from that great man:

"I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word."

I pray he was right.

Susan, this looks fantastic. I can hardly wait for my turn to contribute. I am going to love doing this because I love hearts.

I am still trying to decide on some of my papers, but I am on track.

Amen! I echo your hope and that of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Your fabric journal cover, pages, and embellishments are lovely and charming top to bottom, heart to heart. and ribbons to roses. What a good beginning!

Happy cleaning up in your sewing room. Same is about to happen here after I find a couple of backing fabrics and perhaps sew on a simple border or two ... Then I'll haul out the batting, cut the pieces I need, and commence to begin some humble machine quilting (after some de-cluttering). UFOs, here I come!

Hope your back is feeling lots better.

Hugs!

Very pretty and inspirational. Must start doing this again. I was "better" at it when I read less about HOW to do it and just did it! lol I got the machine cover tutorial and can hardly wait to go to fabric store. Huge Hancock's and JoAnn's in Tupelo.

WOW, WOW, DOUBLE WOW! Your journal is the epitomy of feminity & class! Soooo pretty! Mine all look like junk piles. LOL! As for the craft room clean-up ... sigh. I have to do that, too. AGAIN. Didn't I just CLEAN this room? But I try to see my messes as proof that I MADE something, & that helps. A bit. Not much. Especially when I'm picking up snippets of paper out of the carpet, when I step on an errant pin or brad, when I find glitter in body cavities that should not be decorated, etc. Still - I will clean it up and mess it up again & again. I hope! One more thing. I LOVE that quote from MLK. FORGIVE ME AHEAD OF TIME because I went to my own blog & posted it. I want everyone who visits you AND me to SEE that. I BELIEVE it with all my heart. If enough OTHER people read it, believe it, and LIVE it, won't we be SO much better for it? LOVE YOU, SUSAN! Have I told you lately what an awesome human being you are? If not, SHAME on me!

Hi Susan! So glad you posted this link so now I can follow you and have you on my Blog List - since we'll be circle journaling together this year! You have such a lovely piece here - I've spent this long weekend working on mine, too, and will have photos up soon. Love the fabric choice - I had considered trying that, too, but my machine is down. Working with beautiful papers and embellishments - and quite the novice at it!
Joy!
Kathy

Susan, I am catching up with everyone's progress on their journal. I have had my cousin Bob here for two weeks and I am so behind but getting there.

Your journal is beautiful. I am looking forward to adding my pages. I love your theme.
Hugs, Jeanne
