I'm taking part in an art journal round robin put together by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. The group consists of ten women. We each choose a theme and prepare a journal to send around for each member to work on.
My theme is "Heart to Heart," and the only requirement is to use at least one heart in your spread. I've chosen a Canson blank photo/scrap album (made in the USA) for my journal. I have my front cover almost finished and have also worked on the inside end sheet and my title page. Below is my title page, in progress.
It has been a few years since I've done any art journaling and I'm a little rusty. So I've been researching, mostly on Pinterest, for inspiration. Look what I found this morning.

I have two fabric journals on my UFO list. One is titled "Africa" and one is "Sweet Little Girls," or something like that. The above journal makes me want to get right to work on them and even make more.
I think I'll try to finish up my Heart to Heart journal today and pull out one of my fabric journal UFOs.
Happy Sunday, everyone.

Oh! How lovely your title page is! How did you begin the design?
I'm interested in learning what sort of something each participant with add to the visiting journal. I know quilt round robins are about blocks, borders, or embellishment, but what do you add to someone else's art journal? Perhaps I should visit Beverly's blog for an overview?
You certainly found a jazzy and wildly happy fabric journal cover on Pinterest!
Hugs!

For my beginning hand embroidery group we are making fabric journals. Mine has a sewing theme--an idea I've wanted to try for awhile. It's a fun alternative to quilts all the time.

Your title page is gorgeous! And AFRICA!!!!! I'm TOTALLY intrigued because I LOVE all things African! I'm absolutely STINKY at making beautiful journals, tho' I've journaled almost my entire life. I actually have journals aka notebooks from elementary school days & forward. Trust me - that was FOREVER AGO! Can't wait to see more of your round robin results! LOVE YOU!
