Thank you all for your wonderful dating advice. I really do feel a lot better after reading all your comments. All of you seem to understand the fear and uncertainty. Many of you have been there. Debra, I loved what you said about if I was worried about my tummy poking out, he was probably worried about his bald spot. I have thought a lot lately on how men ever get up the nerve to ask a woman out. Bless their little bald heads.
And many of you pointed out that if I don't go, I won't know--or something to that effect. And that, at the end of the day (as the politicians say), is why I agreed to go. I could never stand thinking that I might have missed something good through my own actions (or inactions).
So thank you all, my friends. I'm still nervous and not convinced this will be an awesome experience. But I'm open to the fact that it could be at least fun. And as one of you said, one can never have too many friends. Maybe he will be a new one.
Let me tell you about that cross now. My church has always put up and decorated a Chrismon tree in our sanctuary. This year, we're still doing that, but we're also decorating a tree with crosses for the Family Life Center. Each person/family will donate a cross with his/her/their name on it. This is mine.
I found the beaded/wire cross at a local Christmas shop and added the hanging doodads (cross, key, name tag). I just went to scrounging around in my containers of collected this-and-thats and found stuff that would work. Quick & Easy.
Remember that tomorrow is UFO Progress Report Day. I have some progress to report this time--on a UFO I haven't talked about before. I found him yesterday in the closet of my sewing room while scrounging for this-and-thats.

You did a lovely job on the cross! It looks antique, yet artsy at the same time! LOVE IT! And you, my sweet friend, are going to grace your gentleman caller's evening for certain! LOVE YOU!

I'm so glad you're up for whatever delight tomorrow night holds! Have fun!
The pearl cross is lovely and the items you found to attach to it are the perfect touches needed to make it more beautiful. Well done!
So I'm not the only one who is still finding UFOs! That is reassuring and I look forward to seeing your newly found UFO.
Hugs!

I am so happy for you :) I hope you have a wonderful time, nobody said it had to be a relationship, it's just dinner with a new friend. If there is to be more only time will tell. However, there is alot to be said for a good book !
