It's Good To Have a Plan

Halloween1
Girlfriends

...even though a plan never seems to work out around here. All kinds of things got in the way of cleaning and organizing my office yesterday. But I did get the packages mailed. One out of three--yeah, well, pretty bad.

BUT! I had a great time at our annual Halloween in the 'Hood last night at Karen and Paul's house across the street. Lots of friends, lots of food, lots of treats, kids, doggies, kitties. Several dear ones missing: Vann, Gene, Michael. But still, it was an awesome night. I made Skipper and Sophie stay home, for which I'm a little ashamed since all the other furries showed up. But it's just too hard to handle two dogs, especially with all the kids and some of them afraid of dogs. And, well, you know Skipper.

The food was great. Paul made hot dogs and Mary Beth and Bob brought chili. I brought brownies, still warm from the oven--and Noah tried to eat them all.

I came home before too late so that Sophie and Skipper could rag me out over leaving them. After they settled down, we watched "Panic Room," one of my favorite scary movies, then we went to bed. It was a fine All Hallow's Eve here.

I hope everyone had a fun and treat-packed Halloween like we did here in the 'hood.

It all sounds like quite a bit of fun, Susan. My husband loves Halloween. In fact, this year he hungs ghosts in our trees, too.

Quiet eve here but am glad to hear that you and your wonderful neighbors partied hearty and had a ghostly great time!

Methinks you were wise to leave the furry four-legged kids at home so you could simply enjoy yourself.

Hugs!

Nothing like friends getting together.

I didn't get any rings of the doorbell in the little blue house. But just as well. I felt like hell yesterday.

Susan, It looks like you had a wonderful time. Great pictures!
I've been meaning to ask you if you are planning on ordering Stephen King's new book that will be released the 8th of this month, "11/22/63"? I ordered mine quite a while ago on Amazon. Also, maybe you already have this link, but at ... http://www.stephenking.com/promo/11-22-63/audiobook_samples/ ... You can listen to almost the entire first chapter of the audio version. I've listened to them all and it is sounding really great so far. Since I have credit on Audible already, I'm planning to get it for my Ipod, that way I can listen when I am at the gym or sewing. Otherwise I'll read the hard cover. Hugs...

What a bunch of CUTIES in your neighborhood! HOW I WISH our neighbors were open to gatherings. I've tried - REALLY tried - the entire time I've lived here, but people just look at me as tho' I were from Mars. Sigh. That's okay, tho'! I'll just come right over here & enjoy YOUR wonderful neighbors! LOVE YOU, SUSAN! And so glad you had fun!
