Gotta Do This!

I love to browse through the Pinterest photos. There's so much creativity and prettiness in those pictures. And sometimes, like this morning, I find something that really grabs my attention. This altered puzzle is one of those somethings.

I haven't done any altered art in a long time, but I love to do it. I've done altered books, tags, boxes, and one round robin in which we did puzzle pieces. But I've never done an entire puzzle. Today or tomorrow, I'm going to find a small puzzle and start this. At least, that's my plan right now.

Andy, Ramey, and I had a great Black Friday. We went to the thrift store then to Cracker Barrel for late lunch. No malls or WalMarts for us. We're just not into doing battle with our fellow shoppers for a chance at one of the three $25 big-screen tvs or a few $1.98 towels. Since none of us owns any pepper spray, we'd never get the merchandise anyway.

We didn't find any really great treasures at the thrift store, but we had fun. I got Bentley a Santa hat, but I'm not sure it's going to fit him. I haven't tried it on him yet. I forget exactly what Ramey and Andy got.

As I do most Saturdays, I'm linking with Beverly's Pink Saturday blog party. That's another place to find excellent ideas of all kinds--from crafting to home dec to cooking and everything in between an all around. I suggest a visit.

Oh, and btw, today is my and Vann's 17th wedding anniversary. Happy anniversary, Boo. I love you and miss you.

Happy Anniversary, my friend! I believe with my whole heart that love never ends and can never be wasted.

What a great way to spend Black Friday, off the beaten track, indeed! I spent part of my day getting AMIL's Christmas decorations down from her attic, putting up her tree, and swapping the autumn leaf garland and decor on top of her breakfront for a holly garland, a Jim Shore Santa, and a tall Nutcracker! She's all about decorating the day after Thanksgiving.

Love the puzzle quilt and I can't wait to see Bentley in his new hat!

I'm off to visit Beverly's pink extravaganza.

Hugs!

Yes, embarrassing as it is the pepper spray was here in Maine. Sad. We stayed away from the big stores too. Just got back from JoAnns to stock up on Christmas stuff.
Love the puzzle.
