Oh, It's Monday!

Possum Quilt IdeaThis is the next quilt on my agenda, and the making of it might even cut into my UFO progress since I want to have it done by Christmas. And it won't be orange/white like this one. But I can't tell you any more because I want it to be a Christmas surprise for someone.

Now I know that every one in my family is going to think, "Oh Boy! She's making me a quilt for Christmas." But just calm down. You don't know who it's for, so just wait and see.

I have been wanting to make a quilt from this design for a while now; and since I need one easy and fast and gorgeous, I think this will do it. If you'd like to see the easy instructions for making this one, go HERE. And when you get there, you'll probably want to stay a while. It's the Cluck Cluck Sew blog, one of the most beautiful and fun sewing and quilting blogs I've found.

Andy and Jesse got all moved into their new house this weekend. Andy got the old apartment cleaned with just a teeny tiny bit of help from me. She kept saying things like, "That's heavy, Mama," and "I can do that, Mama." So I finally left it to her and went home. Which I'm glad I did. She was right. I've been paying for that teeny tiny bit of work ever since.

I haven't shown any photos yet because, well you know how it is when you first move. Boxes and stuff all over the place. Scatterment and mayhem. I don't think it would be fair to Andy to show her new abode just yet--although, I gotta say, it's already looking homey and cute, despite the clutter.

Gotta go now. With so much todo on my plate, I better get to doing some of it.

P.S. I saw Birdie from a distance on Saturday when I was at Andy's apartment. She looked well and happy--then ran off into the woods.

Love the quilt and I look forward to seeing what your version looks like in the fabrics you choose! Yep, I can just hear everyone hoping it's for them! I appreciate the great link, too.

Thanks for the update on Andy's new house. I'm so glad the move is over and the settling in has begun. How sweet it is!

Hugs!

What a pretty quilt! And I know YOURS will be GORGEOUS! YAY, ANDY! for not wanting you to overdo! But you're a sweet mama to have helped her out! And I am going to love seeing photos of the INSIDE of her house! Another YAY! for the blog, "Cluck, Cluck, Sew!" I bookmarked it so I can take my time and enjoy all the pretties. Possibly even LEARN something! (Yeah, right? ME??? Sewing? Sigh ...!) Seeing Birdie must have been bittersweet. Her owner OBVIOUSLY isn't being very diligent if that nice doggy is roaming freely again. Grrrrr! LOVE YOU, Susan! And Ray wants to know if you would like the 2 puzzles he just finished & reboxed! He said he'd be glad to send them if you do!

Hi Susan ~ Yes, I love this quilt. I've seen it over on her blog and wanted to make it. I'm glad she also edited the post with the link to a quick stack and whack. I think this one would be fun to try--in all prints of either red or purple! Good luck on yours.

This quilt is on the list of projects I want to make...for myself. I've been admiring it for far too long over at Cluck, Cluck, Sew. Can't wait to see how yours turns out:)
