Sign, Sign, Everywhere a Sign

Paige

Yesterday, I met my cousin Paige at our historic Depot in downtown Leeds. A group of us local ladies were helping her out with a photo shoot for her upcoming mailer touting her campaign to become our next state representative (see sign above).

I hope you who are reading this and live in Alabama house district 45 will consider giving this intelligent, compassionate, and wise young woman your vote come November. She sincerely cares about the working people of Alabama. I know she'll work her pretty little self ragged to help us when she gets to Montgomery.

Paige has business experience and a law degree. Just to show how versatile she is, she's also a very talented ventriloquist, performer, musician, 1980 Miss Alabama, and 1981 first runner up to Miss America. And Paige is a devoted wife an mom.

On my way back from town, I spotted and photographed one of Paige's signs, as well as a couple of other interesting signs at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, where they're preparing for a yard sale named Hugh.

Now I'm going to work on a place on my blog to post all the block-of-the-month patterns from my guild's block-of-the-month program. Some of you have asked for them. I'll tell you how to get at them later.

How amazing to have a cousin who was Miss Alabama and 1st runner up for Miss America! I can just imagine all of y'all on the edge of your seats for that contest! I wish her well in the upcoming election. As you know, I'm not in that district - or state!

A yard sale with a name?????? I'll have to click and read about that. It's kind of them to provide water for the dogs who come to shop!

This morning I separated my wall hangings into "seasonal" and "holiday" and they're in underbed storage boxes lined with acid-free tissue paper. Now I no longer have to dig thru a hefty stack of quilts and wall hangings when I want to change one wall hanging for another. Why did it take me so long to think of this?

Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler and I'm thrilled.

Hope you're feeling good.

Hugs!

Hummm, will have to stay mystified about a yard sale named Hugh as that red line isn't click-able.

Cheers!

Pretty nice of them to offer water for the dogs at the yard sale but the bucket looks empty. Is it just the way the photo looks or is it waiting to be filled when the yard sale starts?

Will Hugh be an outside or inside sale? Do you know? Have you had good luck at this sale before?

Your cousin is ALMOST as pretty as YOU! And don't you DARE argue with me, young lady 'cause I'm CRAZY but I know pretty when I see it and you ARE. I wish her the best with her campaign! I'd like to be her 'ad' manager. First motto: Do something completely novel & vote for the RIGHT PAIGE! (Sorry. I best stick to editing.) And, Hugh, you sly devil. Now you are a yard sale! Just YESTERDAY you were nothing more than a pile of junk! BWAHAHAHA. (No. I haven't been drinking. Not even invisible doggy water.) Okay. I'm finished being silly. For now. But come back later. I'll be here all week! LOL!

I finally decided to love my car's GPS when I was in a strange town and I spotted a Garage Sale sign. All I had to do was punch in the address from the sign and the nice lady in the GPS took me right to the sale. I was delighted!

Beauty & Brains--you cannot beat that combination!

I think the yard sale sign maker needed spell check. Sure they met HUGE. If not then I will proudly say I was wrong.
Good luck to your Paige.

Good luck to your cousin! She's very ambitious.

I see that spelling error all the time. Glad Hugh is getting some real action out there.

Hope you find something good at Hugh's yard sale! I've passed that sign every day on my way home from work!

And that free dog water looks pretty dry to me!
