Another week gone by with no UFO progress. I've just been too busy with other things. I did get a Smackdown test block made and a few more pieces cut for the August 27-28 quiltalong. That's it in the photo. Very fun and fast block to make. My scrapbag should lose quite a bit of bulk with this project.
Blogless Barbara reports that, in spite of all the canning she and her MIL have been doing, she found time to work on binding this wonderful little treasure that she found at an estate sale a while back. Great find, Barbara. Click on the picture to enlarge and see the pretty buttons at each block intersection and other embellishments.
We had light rain off and on all day yesterday. Then last night we had a thunderstorm with lots of rain. Today the sun is out, so it will probably be a scorcher. I'm almost, I say almost, getting used to it.
All you UFO busters, catch Mr. Linky below and enter your link so we can see what you've been doing lately.

I haven't had a chance to test out the Quilt Smackdown block yet myself so it's good to hear it went together quickly and easily. My squares are cut. I'll be making some bright juvenile themed quilts.

Love your sample Smackdown block!
Thanks for posting my tiny bit of progress.
Sounds like you'll have a sauna outdoors today unless your temperatures have cooled.
Hugs!

Mr. Linky is very s-l-o-w this morning! Good thing I have patience --this morning-- or I may have double or even triple linked up.

Lookin' good, Susan! Way to go! I posted a REAL UFO update this week. Getting myself back on track. Thanks for doing this UFO Bust. Even though you are not pressuring me, having a report each Friday helps me keep my mind focused on it. All the best, Stephanie.
