These photos show what we're hoping will be
Andy's new kitchen in a few weeks.
Andy made an offer on the house last night--and the owner accepted! So the next steps are getting the house inspected and getting her mortgage. I don't think there'll be any problems, I hope. She's so excited with a head full of plans. And I'm excited for her. Like me the first time I bought a house, she felt she'd never find a house she could afford. And she might not have, at least not yet, if it hadn't been for the economic disaster we're in right now in our country. So I'm glad to see something good is coming out of it for someone.
Today I'm going to Michael's funeral. Thank you all for your sweet words of comfort. I know this is going to be a sad one. I know my dear friend Maria is feeling a bit of horrible deja vu. FIve months ago, she was going through this for her husband, now for her son. I don't know how her heart keeps beating.
Perhaps a little quiltmaking will take place in my sewing room this morning. Perhaps not. We'll see

Congratulations to Andy - hope all works out well for her. So sorry to hear about another death in our neighbourhood - my mother always said that burying one of her children would be the hardest thing in the world for her - thank goodness she did not have to experience that. My heart goes out to your friend Mary.

That kitchen looks like it has tons of possibilites. As Wes says, "anything is possible with a ton of money!"
My sincere condolences to your friend and all the friends who will gather. Burying your child is horrible.

How wonderful for Andy - I hope she'll be very happy in her new home.
I really feel for your friend Maria - I can't imagine how it must feel to have lot two such important people in such a short space of time. I think there can be nothing worse than watching your child suffer any burying them. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. xx

What a wonderful, sunny, and large kitchen to look forward to cooking, baking, and enjoying!! I hope and pray that the inspection shows no problems and that the mortgage is approved super fast. Isn't it fun to plan how to decorate a new space and where to put what, where the Christmas tree will go, and what you'll need to buy?
I hope your sewing will bring your comfort. You are so right that this is a horrid deja vu for Maria. My heart just breaks for her. Prayers for family and friends continue.
Hugs

I guess your emotions have run the gamut this week, haven't they? Happiness for Andy and sadness for your friend Maria. We're all praying things work out for Andy and her new home and that Maria will be carried thru this terrible ordeal. Her heart must be in a million pieces. Praying for her.
