Where Is Everybody?

SophSat

All right you UFO-busting Little Green Quilters, where are y'all? I know summertime is a busy time for everyone. And I know that the heat often makes for lethargy and disinterest. But Mr. Linky is very lonesome. Only two people linked up this week so far.

Remember you don't have to have actually made progress on your UFO list to post your link. You only have to have a blog post to link to. So come on, people, link up!

Thanks for your comments on the Sophie 4th of July Quilt. Cathy, with her Yankee Doodle Doggie comment, reminded me of something we used to call Sophie. Since Sophie's birth town is Warwick, New York, we often call her our Yankee Doodle Schnoodle. So that's another idea for a quilt title. But I'm still leaning toward "Let Freedom Bark."

I think it's probably time for a giveaway to kick this UFO Bust back into action. We're almost halfway through the year, so this is a good time. I'll be beachin' it next week, but when I return I plan to announce the Mid-Year Little Green Quilter Blog Giveaway. So don't miss out.

PigSat I'm linking up to Beverly's Pink Saturday Blog Party today. And then I'm going over there, virtually speaking, to get a big dose of pink. I recommend that you do the same.

The little pig bricklayer painting was created by my sister Ramey many decades ago. My daddy was a bricklayer, and my mama was a pig collector (not live ones), so I guess that's how Ramey got the idea for her painting.

Cute painting! You and your family are so talented in all sorts of creative ways! What fun! No wolf will blow this Little Pig's house down!

I've been cutting flannel squares and arranging, re-arranging them ad infinitum this week. The quilt they're part of is a Christmas gift that I decided to make and have completed now. I've done the wait until October and wait until November to start such gifts and don't recommend it. Could I have learned my lesson?? I'll be back to my UFOs when this simple top is together.

Stay cool!

Hugs!
