Mother Nature's Heart

Heart-shaped rose Y'all know I love hearts. There's just something about the shape of a heart that makes me smile. I have lots of hearts around the Yellow House. I love to collect hearts in all forms: fabric, yarn, ceramic, metal, etc.

One of my fun heart collections has to do with ordinary things that by some accident take on the form of a heart--like the rose in the photo. Some of you might remember the pile of heart-shaped grass clippings or the bird nest that I photographed last year.

I also have a little heart-shaped rock with sparkles in it that Jesse or Phillip (can't recall which) found and gave to me years ago.

Below are some photos that I found on the internet of natural hearts.

I have a plan hatching for a swap later on, when I get some of my projects out of the way. It involves hearts. So if you're a heart lover like me, I hope you'll plan to join in. More details to come.

I didn't forget this week. I know tomorrow is Friday, UFO Progress Report Day. Mr. Linky will be up in the morning.

How sweet these many natural hearts are! I have several hearts from note cards and greeting cards that are framed and on the wall hanging among the family photos. A few rock hearts are here in the house, too.

I just sent you my UFO update.

Hugs!
