UFO Bust: Week 10 Progress

Noah1

Noah2

"Two by Two" is finished!!!! Bound, labeled, and fitted with a hanging sleeve. Now it's ready to hang in the church nursery--after Monday when I show it at guild meeting.

I also got the binding made for the "Charisma" quilt. Won't get it sewn on today though. Andy and I are going to celebrate my birthday with Mexican food and then a trip to The Edge to see the opening of the new movie "Red Riding Hood."

Good News from UFO Buster, Deb P. She has the cast off her wrist. She reports that she did a little crochet done this week but hasn't finished anything. Deb also asks for prayers for her 11-year-old daughter, Laura, who has been diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. Bless her heart. The medical facility where they have to take Laura is a 3 1/2-hour drive, one way. Please keep Deb, Laura, and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Our firecracker buster, Barbara, reports that her progress has been minimal this week.

Our friend Sandy Gail (who isn't officially in the challenge since she always finishes one project before starting another--thus no UFOs) has finished another gorgeous quilt and sent us a photo to enjoy.

I love string quilts, and this one is amazingly gorgeous, Sandy. Thank you for sharing.

Now, here comes Mr. Linky for the rest of you busters to post your links. Can't wait to see what everyone has been doing.

Susan,
I forgot to say I did not get any UFO Busts complete, but was busy this week with other sewing and "life". Mom's having hip surgery Monday a.m. (she fell last week and fractured something in there) and even though Dad is there, I'll probably be staying in the hospital with her, then see how the recuperation period begins. I'm heading to their house this afternoon with food...they live @30 minutes from me.

Two by Two is such a happy, cheerful quilt with it's rainbow colors to remind us of the promise in ever rainbow. Well done on getting it completed!!! I agree the bias stripe binding is prefect.

Prayers for Deb P. and family Cheers Deb's cast is off and I certainly hope that Laura gets good treatment for whatever ails her so she can get back to a carefree life.

Sandy Gail's quilt is beautiful!!

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to You!
Happy Birthday, dear Susan!!
Happy Birthday to YOU!

Hugs!

Hi Sue I tried last week to get Mr. Linky to work for me, but alas couldn't. Anyhow, I have finished a large dolls size quilt and have started a 16 patch using up my 1 1/2 inch bits. At this point I'm not sure how big it will get, may only become a table topper. I also continue to hand quilt my stars quilt and have it about 1/4 done. That's it for this week. I may get pictures up on my blog tonight or tomorrow. Happy Birthday, March is a great month for a birthday as Spring is just around the corner.

Wow! Your "Two by Two" quilt for the nursery is stunning! Those colors are so cheerful. You did a lot of work on that one, for sure.

Happy Birthday!!!! Enjoy your day with your lovely daughter.

Thanks for sharing the photo of my string quilt. Yesterday, I began work on the Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt that was started by a friend who has terminal cancer. I'll be working on it for weeks and weeks.

Girls, keep on busting those UFO's! Sandy Gail

The photo of my string quilt was taken in my sun room. The "water" is just a wall paper mural. Sandy Gail

Happy Birthday! Hope you had a wonderful day and a great time with Andy! Keep us informed about your mammogram. Definantly praying for you. Thanks for praying for my girl. Her rhematoid is ok for now. They are testing her thyroid, as something looks off in some of her tests. She is also on a therapy program, as her muscles surrounding her spine aren't supporting it and her leg muscles aren't stretching the way they should. We go back to Riley's in June. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes.
Hope you have a sunny and warm weekend!
Hugs :)
