Thanks for the Mammogram

(to the tune of "Thanks for the Memories")
by Me

Thanks for the mammogram.
For boobs that must lie flat,
Even though they're fat.
The plate will mash them when you flash them; what do you think of that?
Will they ever bounce back?

Thanks for the mammogram.
For standing in the nude
Causing a bad mood.
If it sees a lump or any bump, you'll be back pretty soon.
To do this again.

Thanks for the mammogram.
Although it isn't fun,
And you'll be glad when it's done,
You'll know you're well, your boobs are swell, you've done the right thing, Hon.
Go get one to-daaaayyyyyyy.

The floods subsided and I was able to make it to the doctor's office yesterday for my mammo redo and my ultrasound. The nice lady who did my ultrasound allowed me to see the screen and explained things to me. She didn't see anything that worried her, although she stressed several times that the radiologist and doctor would have to make the final call. She thinks the two tiny spots the mammogram is picking up are nodules, like I had biopsied in the same area years ago. She told me that if you ever had one, you could make more in the same area. So I await my doctor's call to find out if she wants me to see a surgeon or wait for a few months and look at the spot again.

Remember that tomorrow is UFO Progress Report Day. I'll have Mr. Linky up in the morning for all you busters and Little Green Quilters to leave your links. Now I'm going to get back to my busting. I hope to have a couple of things to show tomorrow.

Your song du jour is too funny and right on at the same time. You're a poet, doncha know it?!

The rains you had yesterday are here today so send the ducks!

I hope to accomplish a few things before I send you my UFO report for the week.

Hugs!

Susan,
You make me smile! I love the poem and it's so true!
I hate getting those call backs.
I am glad all the floods are subsiding as well. We have so much water up our way!
Hugs,
Donna

came by through Kai, to say Happy birthday! I too recently had a mammogram that resulted in more pictures being taken and then an ultrasound before being allowed to leave. luckily it was all nothing.. in fact what ever they saw in the first picture didnt exist in the others or in the ultra sound! Praise GOD!
I hope you have a delightful weekend!

Hope all goes well with your results. Cute poem. Love the shirt but probably wouldn't have the nerve to wear it.
Glad the flood waters are shrinking. We are under flood watch now.....but we are getting snow. Crazy weather.

Cute shirt and poem (I sang along). I hope your mammo is acceptable to all concerned. Better to be safe that sorry at any rate. I had mine last week and have been let off the hook for another year. BTW I remember years ago when the technology was new... how excruciating the process was. It's a piece of cake today.

PS --by "technology" and "process," I was referring to the mammogram, nothing more.

Really needed a good laugh and your poem did it and it's the truth! Hate those girls being flattened!
Glad you are done with the mamo and nothing looks suspicious....always a relief when it's over.
Also, my friends in northern New York are flooding. Three feet of snow and tomorrows forecast is 55 degrees. Don't know what snow is like (other than looking at the mountains in the distance) or what flooding is like. I can tell you about enormous water bills and HOT HOT weather come Aug. and Sept...OH.. and earth quakes!
Wish you a good weekend with your pups. Pat Mc
