Thought I'd show you a few of the members of my Santa Squad before I go to yakking. There are more, but this will do for the day.
Last night was our annual neighborhood Christmas party at Karen and Paul's across the street from The Yellow House. It's actually billed as the Bunko Babes Christmas Party, but the whole neighborhood is always invited. The food was outstanding (everyone brought a dish). I didn't even make it to the dessert table; I filled up on other stuff.
After feasting and then taking part in a rowdy, 35-participant Dirty Santa game, I was ready for home and bed. It was a rainy night, and I got soaked walking the few steps home. The doggies were right put out with me for having left them for so long--although I left the tree lighted for them and holiday music on the tv. They both gave me a good talking to.
We all piled into my big old king-size bed, I read for a while, then I joined the doggies in sleep. Not good sleep though, because my back, hips, and legs gave me trouble all night. But I'm feeling pretty good today anyway.
Afraid I'm going to miss church this morning. I have to bake a hummingbird cake to deliver tomorrow, make a block for my guild's Christmas block giveaway, and finishing reading True Grit so that I can give it to Mary tomorrow when she picks me up for Guild meeting. But since I spent virtually the entire day and much of the night at church last Sunday, I hope God will give me a pass today.
It's also cold, windy, and even snowing here this morning. Not much incentive for me to go out. The snow is very light, just flurries really. But any snow around here is cause for celebration. One of my Facebook friends reminded me that that's probably because we never get enough to have to shovel.
I'll be sure to take my camera to Guild meeting tomorrow. We usually have some great show-and-tell at our December Christmas Party. So look for pictures.
Happy Sunday, everyone, and God bless you all.
P.S. I got the comment thing fixed. On a suggestion from Debby, I tried changing web browsers, and that worked. So now, I'll use Foxfire for posting my blog posts (since Safari doesn't like to load photos for me) and Safari for commenting on other blogs. That should work.

So glad that helped. I have no computer skills but trial and error. You have some exciting things going on. Glad you are enjoying the season.

Love your charming little Santas! I have several Santas that I enjoy but I don't have nearly as many as you do. Did you ever make that framed Santa pictures collection?
The neighborhood party sounds like so much fun and that food array must have been dazzling. Yum!
Stay cozy and enjoy your day of baking and drinking in the sights of all of your happy decorations. It's raining here and is a good day to be inside here, too. What doesn't dry today will freeze tonight.
I need to clear some after decorating clutter and make binding and a quilt label.
God bless you, too!
Hugs to you three!

You KNOW I love your Santas! So cute & HAPPY! And glad the party last night was fun! What gift did you end up with? NO VISIT TO THE DESSERT TABLE???? Oh, the shame of it! (Can you tell I'm craving something sweet?) YOU HAVE SNOW? Wahhhh! Not us! Nothing LIKE snow! And when my daughter sent me a photo of their blizzard-like conditions & I sighed over the beauty, she wrote back, "Yeah, I guess from YOUR end it's gorgeous & magical, Mom. But it loses a LOT of magic when you're standing out in it waiting for a dog to pee!" BWAHAHAHAHA! Point well-taken! Love you, Susan!

I just love all your Santas. I have a soft spot for collecting them myself. My grandma collected them and I guess I just wanted to carry on her tradition. Thanks so much for sharing!
