I'm going to try to keep the chatter to a minimum today and just show you a little bit more of my holiday decorating. I thank all of you who persevered and read the most recent episode of the "Adventures of El Posso" or "Mr. Marsupial Wins Again." He hasn't returned--so far.
I got a lot of cookie baking done yesterday. Today, I'm going to work on Reed's Christmas present. Can't say what it is because that five-year-old is so smart, he's probably reading my blog right now.
So here's a mini-tour of The Yellow House. Have a good day, everyone, and stay warm.
A new acquisition this year is the set of cardinals on the right. Amy and Phillip gave me the cardinal candle stand and candle for Christmas 2008. I'm going to light the candle this year.
One of my handmade stockings, which my hands didn't make.
And another handmade stocking that I didn't make.
My sister Joanne gave me this creche set many years ago. Except for the lambs, which I bought at a gift shop in North Georgia while shopping with my friend Bobbi H. several years ago.
Mama's Angel Pig.
Thrift store Christmas plates on a yard sale plate rack. (The rack was rusty gold when I got it. I sprayed it with black paint, and it looks brand new.)
*In case anyone is wondering about the quilt under the tree (the one that is all messed up because Skipper had been playing under it), I'll talk about that and show a better picture later. Maybe tomorrow. It's a very interesting and fun technique. So tune in tomorrow for the continuing saga.

Ahhhhh! RED EVERYWHERE! You know how Cooky Monster says, "Me LOVE cookies!" Well, THIS 'me' LOVES red! LOL! So pretty & festive & happy! Makes me want to keep singing Christmas carols!

Oh, how charming and cheery your home is with the many lovely and varied Christmas decorations! All of that red is delicious!
I look forward to seeing your Christmas tree skirt flat! It has been happily over-frolicked, hasn't it?
Snow all morning here, now annoying sleet.
The binding is machine sewn on DS1's quilt! Now to trim it and put the quilt clips on. My shoulders are certainly talking to me and are acting ugly.
Hugs!

Will you read your email? Will you scan the picture? Are you surprised by that revelation in the last email I sent you? What are you doing?

It looks beautiful! I still wasn't ready for a tree this year, but I had a friend come and put mine up while I was gone. I'm enjoying it after all. I love that you have both stockings up. I need to do that, too. Thanks for the encouragement to move on and decorate...

You have decorated your home just beautifully! So very inviting. Is that a portrait of Anne of Cleves on the wall? I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas.

I think that's who it is, Inese. My sister painted it and !) I love her paintings and 2) the colors went with the room. Anyway, it's one of Henry VIII's wives.
