God love you all for your sweet comments on yesterday's post. Thank you so much for taking time to make me feel better with your kind words. I love you all, and I wish relief and comfort for those of you who also suffer chronic pain conditions.
The sun is shining today, and I am indeed feeling a little better. Which is good because the doggies reminded me this morning that when the rain stopped we could take a long walk. I think I can make it today--although it is one of those feelilng-better feelings that promises to wear off before the day is done. Yesterday the dogs and I went only to the end of the street and back during a period of light sprinkles, and they have lots of energy pent up. Somehow that big old fenced backyard just doesn't get rid of all the doggie energy.
I finished the Teddy Bear quilt last night. The binding is done, the label is attached, and I added a couple of yoyo eyes. Done! My friend is coming by today to pick it up. The money I make from this quilt will go into the hummingbird cake fund for local charities to feed the needy in the Leeds/Moody area.
Let's not forget that today is Rednesday! For a really red-a-paloosa, be sure to stop by Sue's blog and check out all the Rednesday participants. To visit all the Rednesday folks, click on the button below.
The sweet tin can Santa above was in my Christmas Swap Box that my partner Cheri sent to me. I set the little pumpkin pie candle that Kai sent me on top of him to add cheer and a good scent to my kitchen during our Thanksgiving dinner last Thursday.
I've been remiss at checking blogs lately, but I just now visited Cheri's blog, catching up on her recent posts, and I found that she had a tutorial for the cute little Tin Can Santa. (The highlighted words are a link to the tutorial.) It looks fun. I know some of you who are handy with paint could make some of these. I'd try it myself if I weren't snowed under with unfinished projects. Maybe next year. Thanks again, Cheri, for my Santa, and all the goodies in my box.
