Triage

I have decided to implement the process of triage in my sewing room. That's the only way I'm going to survive.

Jungle book

So next project up will be this (above), the jungle baby quilt for my sweet friend Falicia who is expecting her first baby (a boy) any minute now.

Again yesterday, I didn't get anything done. There were constant interruptions--many of them from my two furry housemates, true. But not all. I answered an offer to receive a free HD satellite dish upgrade and free HD for life, and the technician was here most of the day getting that set up. Now I have asked Santa for a new HD tv for Christmas. The jolly old fellow is even now checking my records to see if I've been good.

My, uh, shall we call them housecleaners? are coming today, so I probably won't accomplish much today either. I'm going to have to have another heart-to-heart with Linda and Joe. Yesterday when the dish tech pulled the tv out to connect the new box, dust flew everywhere. And when I moved the quilt rack the other day to let the lizard out (I didn't tell you about that, did I?), the dust bunnies scattered like dust bunnies are wont to do when disturbed. Also, the ceiling fans are festooned with dusty streamers that make them look like Louisiana swamp trees hanging with Spanish moss. I cannot continue to pay housecleaners who don't clean.

Gotta go. My second cup of coffee waits.

Love that happy jungle quilt! What a joy-joy project to work on for happy-happy results to propel you onwards!

Triage worked on M*A*S*H and it works in real life ERs so it's a good plan. Most urgent dealt with first. Yep!

I have dust bunnies and enough extra fur for a few more cats (no thank you) but I'm the one at fault about that. There are just not enough spoons to waste that many on cleaning - or that's my excuse.
Good luck with the upcoming conversation with your cleaning folks.

Hugs!

What a pretty quilt. Wish I had the patience to sew. This is lovely. Happy REDnesday!

Oh I do hope your heart to heart goes well - those sort of conversations are always so uncomfortable. But you're right, you really are Susan!

Once upon a time, many years ago, I had two cleaning ladies. By choice, I now do the cleaning myself. They "shook" the throw rugs by putting them in the dryer for a spin. The list of other "interesting" things that they did is long . . .

I have never had a cleaning person or service, but believe me I could use one. My house will never be cluttered, but it does tend to need dusting too often.

LOVE that quilt! And I think you should definitely speak with Joe & Linda! Having someone clean your home when you are in pain is a wonderful thing. But PAYING to have it done inadequately is not right! If they are not nice about it, I believe you may need to have Miss Sophie or Lil' Skipper 'gently' bite their legs! LOL! If they are RUDE about it, call me & I will bite their legs! Sorry - I'm being totally silly today! LOVE YOU!

In my lifetime, I've only had one cleaning person who earned her pay. She was elderly, and she quit me because my kitchen floor "didn't shine" when she mopped it. "I like for my work to show," she said.

I was just thinking today that I wish I still had that girl come clean who does my next door neighbor's house. Because my ceiling fans are like yours. And my two daughters and their families are due in three weeks. I'm stumbling all over myself trying to get things up to snuff. CM tonight! I think of you now when I think of it. Happy watching. Will compare notes tomorrow.

That quilt is so whimsical, and is going to be a darling gift for your friend's baby! I bet it will end up being a family heirloom, passed down through the generations!
Happy REDnesday!

Thats going to be such a cute quilt once you get it finished.

I am having problems with my cleaning lady too! She is fat and lazy!....I normally don't talk badly about "myself", but my house is a pig-sty lol

Love reading our blog. My dust bunnies have lived here for years (perhaps decades). If I moved them now they would have to find new shelter. All the shelters here are full. :{
