I wrote names of all retreat participants on slips of paper and put them in this tin. Then, with the dulcet sounds of two small dogs barking in the background, I drew the winners one at a time...
AND
THE
WINNERS
ARE....
Prize Pack #1 (socks, sign, book) goes to Mary K.
Prize Pack #2 (magazines) goes to Barbara.
Prize Pack #3 (fabric) goes to Thelma.
Congratulations, ladies. E-mail me your mailing addresses at suscleve@aol.com so I can get your prizes off to you. Barbara, I'm pretty sure I have yours. I'll let you know if I can find it.
Thanks to one and all for taking part in our 2nd Annual Yellow House Virtual Quilting Retreat. I've had so much fun seeing all your projects, plus getting more sewing done myself than I have done in months and months.
I didn't quite finish the diamonds quilt today, what with all the fence installers coming and going. They almost got the fence up. Just a little more to go. After they left, I went out to inspect. I'm afraid I'm going to have to tell them tomorrow that the two gates won't do. They don't come all the way to the ground. Both have openings underneath that a billy got could get through. No way they're going to keep in two little dogs.
If you have sent me pictures to be posted, I'll get to them tomorrow. I'm really tired tonight. I think I'll get into my jammies and camp out on the sofa till bedtime. The doggies have had their last street walk. Good night, everyone. And thanks again to everyone who took part in the retreat--the sewers and the watchers.

Susan, This has been fun. Congrats to the winners!!
I didn't get to sew as much as I would have liked, but I did accomplish something :)
Thank you for hosting!
I think of you every time I am driving on Ziggy Road as Jennifer calls it :)
Hugs,
Donna

Oh!!!! Goody gundrops!!!!!!! This is only the third time I've won something in my life and I love the magazines!!
I really love your diamond quilt and the fabric for the diamond centers is the best!
This has been fun and I'm so glad I'm now 1/3 way finished with this quilt top - if you don't count sashing and borders, of course, and I don't count them. Thanks for hosting!
Today has been busy, so I haven't been able to visit blogs today. Perhaps tomorrow ...?
Yes, those gates must touch the ground or you'll be back to chasing wee doggies.
Hugs to all!

Thanks so much, Susan! You're a doll. I have so enjoyed interacting with you online and the retreat has given me something to look forward to this week and the opportunity to make some new virtual friends.
I wish I could come over and support you in getting your fence installed correctly. That is so frustrating. Hang in there. You are an inspiration to me.
Cheers,
Mary K.

Susan, I did not officially participate in
your Retreat, but I enjoyed following it and sewing along as much as I could. I attached an outer border making my queen size quilt ready to load and quilt. Shew! Glad that's done. Today, I pulled fabrics for a little autumn wall hanging for my kitchen. I "vascillated" about the color arrangement for too long and finally told myself to "just do it." So the bacground is done and the applique pattern pieces cut out. That's it for today. Thank you for putting together this 2nd Annual Yellow House Virtual Quilting Retreat (would that be SAYHVQ?). It was fun to watch the progress.
Sleep well!
