I'm finally beginning to see neat and clean little areas in my house emerge. Not many of them yet, but enough to give me hope that this GYHEM process will finally pay off in the home I've often dreamed of occupying. I just wish I were a better decorator. I have to rely heavily on inspirational photos from magazines, the internet, and my blogging friends.
Below are a few more photos of little corners of my house that were ready to be seen.
But as you can see, there is still plenty of clutter and disharmony to deal with. So I better get up and on with it.
Don't forget about the GUYHEM giveaway (see yesterday's post). I'll be drawing for a winner sometime tomorrow.
And before I go I have to show you this beautiful thing.
Sharon at Red Geranium Cottage organized some of my blogging friends that are also friends of hers to make this lovely pink quilt to comfort me when I lost my husband. As you quilters know, quilts take a while to be born, so I just received the quilt recently. But as far as I'm concerned, it came just at the right time. I was just wondering what quilt/s I was going to hang in my newly painted sewing room. Now I know which will be the first to go up.
I'm not even going to try to name all my quilting friends who helped with this sweet remembrance. I'm afraid I'll leave out someone. You all know who you are. Know, too, that I love you all so much for remembering me and Vann this way. You are treasures in my life.
As I gussy up and arrange things in The Yellow House, there is always something I wish Vann were here to see (or to help me lift). I think maybe he does see. I hope so.

Applause!!!! These photos show lovely areas with sweet and charming teapots, artfully arranged books, special photos, and perfect colors! You've done well and who among us doesn't rely on inspiration from other sources?
The rest of the house will be neat as a pin and beautiful, soon. Shrea, shrea, my friend.
Your sampler quilt is gorgeous and the love and care that went in with each stitch makes it all the more precious. As you sew, it will sing in your heart!
I believe Vann can see and is happy with all you're doing. He loves you now and forevermore.
Hugs!
