Mag Review

Thurs1  Can't visit much this morning--got places to go. But I did want to show you a little bit of the newest issue of Love of Quilting magazine. I think it's the best one they've done in several issues. I saw several projects I'd love to make, especially the Irish Chain quilt. I just love that one.

If you haven't already seen it, I hope you enjoy this little preview.

Gerald Roy's "This Old Quilt" feature is especially interesting this month. It's about Crazy Quilting.

Even the ads are awesome!

Must go get ready for a fun outing with my quilting friend Sally. I'm keeping it a secret for now, but I'm taking my camera. And if this turns out as great as I think it will, I'll have some goodies to show tomorrow.

Love the Triple Irish Chain and wonder if I have the stick-to-itiveness to make it. I'm about to make a Single Irish Chain with my pansy fabric.

You tease us with your hints of a mysterious outing with Sally the Quilter. I'll look forward to photos. Have fun!

Oh, Kai! You have what it takes: the wish to do it! I long felt the pull toward quilts and quilting and at age 41, my boss was a quilter who showed me it's easier than it looks. REALLY! Hie thee to a quilt shop for beginner lessons. Every quilter was once a beginner!

Hugs!

Oooh! I see two that I want to make! That black-and-white one would be perfect in my bedroom. But there are two or three (or five) that I need to finish before starting another one. - Una

My mother has a crazy quilt that was quilted by my great grandmother.. I want to say. Perhaps it was older and younger, grandmother, or great great grandmother. We use it as a table cloth every Christmas. I love it.

I must get that magazine! All the quilts you showed are so nice, as is the watermelon one on the front!

Hi Susan,
the furnishing fabric is just gorgeous - I'm sure you will find many happy uses for it :) If I was you I'd leave the mirror gold - I think it would spoil it if you painted it. It sounds like you had a really fun and successful day!
