I hope every one of you had as fine a Palm Sunday as I did. First I was surprised to wake up feeling pretty good after a Saturday of painting. I feared I would not be able to get out of bed, but I really felt better than I do most mornings when I wake up. Maybe all that reaching and bending and stooping and climbing were good for me.
I attended church and heard a wonderful and inspiring Easter cantata performed by our talented choir. I did fine until they broke into a chorus of "Because He Lives," which always brings on the tears. This time too.
When I returned home, Sophie and Andy were waiting for me. Andy and I enjoyed a bowl of Santa Fe soup and then watched "Blind Side." I can't recommend this movie strongly enough. What makes it so neat is that it's based on a true story about a family who opened their home to a homeless boy and made him part of their family. Watch it. It will make you proud to be a human, unlike many things we see these days.
Last night, I watched a new tv movie on the LMN channel entitled "Amish Grace," another winner. It was based on the incident several years ago when a gunmen opened fire on a group of Amish school children in their one-room school house. This movie is a testament to the miracle of forgiveness. I recommend it too.
After a Sunday of rest, however, I have to get back to work today. I've learned to set smallish goals, though. Today's small goal is to give the bookcases in the newly painted office a good coat of Old English Lemon Oil. I think that will perk them up considerably.

I'm so glad to hear you had a good Sunday! Physically and otherwise, too. Ours was an especially uplifting service, also.
I'm hearing so many good things about Blind Side. I think we must see it soon.
It's a good day for soup here... very darkish/glooy looking, a high wind expected before the rain begins later. hmmm, I have a big package of chicken; perhaps I'll make soup of some of it. Haven't had southwestern style for awhile, hmmm. Thank you for the suggestion.
Blessings!

Haven't seen Blind Side yet. Amish Grace was really good. I especially liked how they handled when he went to the school. I thought it was handled very tastefully.

I'm so happy to hear that your wonderful painting job didn't knock you for a loop! It would be interesting if the bending and stretching helped. If so, maybe you should consider Tai Chi?
Small goals are the perfect way
to make some progress every day!
- a poem!
That's how my days go. Do something until can becomes can't, then rest.
Hugs!

I miss being in choir - always was throughout school & college, then 2 years with the Houston Symphony Choir. Christmas & Easter are the times I miss most because the directors pull out all the classics & oh, how I DO love those! Funny you should mention The Blind Side! It's on my 'to buy' list at Barnes & Noble Thursday! Glad to hear your opinion of it because you & I tend to like lots of the same books & movies! I didn't KNOW about the Amish movie! Rats! I'll look for it to be repeated because I LOVE all things Amish! Thanks for the heads up! VERY happy to know you're feeling better! THAT makes my day!

Blind Side was awesome. That is a movie I could (and will) see more than once. And my 10 year old granddaughter said the same thing .. she was smitten by the entire story. The passion of that family made me believe again that there are people out there who care.
Palm Sunday was awesome and looking forward to a most beautiful Easter. Happy Easter to you all!
Pink Hugs,
Dee
