Uh Oh!

Blogg1 Guess what today is? Yep, Friday the 13th, the third one of these supposedly unlucky days we've had this year. We won't have another year with three Friday 13ths until 2015. Did you know that? I didn't either until I googled.

If you research Friday 13 a little, you'll find that all kinds of bad things have happened on this date. I haven't tested this theory, but I'll bet that you could google Tuesday the 11th or any other day and find all kinds of bad things happening. And good things too.

Fortunately I'm not superstitious. The sun's shining, it's a lovely day, and I have book club this afternoon. I sure don't want to cower in the house, afraid of falling in a sinkhole or having the sky fall one me.

Oh, and see that notation under 13 in the photo above? That means Sophie has an appointment for a grooming this afternoon. But don't tell her. She'll be the one cowering in the house. She hates it when Diane comes. I don't blame her. I don't like to go for haircuts either, which I have to do very soon.

I got quite a bit done yesterday. I worked on the "October Garden" pieces and got a lot of sewing done with that. Then I prepared another bunny block for stitching and finished that annoying two-bunny block that was giving me such problems.

In addition to the sewing room work, I got a pot of Brunswick Stew made. No, I can't eat all that. I'll take most of it to my neighbors whose son Mike just had the spinal biopsy. He'll be coming home (to their house) tomorrow and I thought a nice hot bowl of stew would be a good way to welcome him.

Blogg 2
That crease across Mr. Blue Bunny will be pressed out before this block goes into a quilt.

Blogg 3
 Another bunny ready for basting.

Blogg 4
Brunswick Stew ready for tasting.
(I made a poem.)

Love your bunnies!!

Making soup is a lovely and yummy way to pass an autumn day and it will be the best glad-you're-home welcome for Mike.

Has the postman brought you a little something from me this week? It was mailed Saturday.

The rain has finally diminished here but the wind continues to blow. We've had more than 6" of rain this month. Glub, glub!

What book is being discussed in book club?

Wishing you and Sophie bravery in the face of your coming hair cuts!

Hugs!

Just exactly what are those two bunnies doing? Is that a tattoo on the one bunny? Do you really think she needed that to attract the other bunny? I'm just asking! *wink*

The stew looks so "comforting." I'm reading The Help now, it's really good. At first I thought the pins (pin heads) on the yellow bunny were pearls, for embellishment. Very pretty.

Yes, I'll admit it! I'm a weirdo! I turned 13 on Friday the 13th (of September - a million YEARS ago) and lived to tell the tale. So I have always LIKED the ominous date. Am I superstitious? About things that are TOTALLY stupid. For instance, I cannot STAND to see shoes paired backwards. You know, they HAVE to be stored the way a person WEARS them! LOL! And the #22 - EEEEEKS! Long story - won't go there. Anyway, you AND Sophie are going to look even MORE gorgeous with new haircuts! And - please ma'am - what is in Brunswick stew? It looks REALLY yummy! I know Mike will appreciate you tremendously! OH! And your bunnies are soooo cute!

This was my Mom's birthday. And even though she has been gone for many years, I still celebrate her life :-)

Love your Bunnies, they all appear to have their own character. Hope Sophie survived her haircut, I bet she looks really cute(not that she isn't always cute).

Susan, I always think of Friday the 13th being a lucky days as I had both of our children on Friday 13th, 2 years apart. So I can think of nothing luckier than being given two beautiful children on that day.

Those little bunnies of yours are getting cuter by the bunny.

I love those bunnies. They are really adorable. When Buddy was little I did his nursery in Peter Rabbit, I loved bunnies so.
