Treasures, Large and Small

A faithful friend is a strong defense; And he that hath found him hath found a treasure.
 --Louisa May Alcott

X Cardinal I had a rough night--coughing, sneezing, aching, etc. So I've decided to stay home from the hospital again today. Vann called me this morning, and he sounded great. He said he also felt great and was going to try to talk someone into letting him come home. That would be great, but I'm not holding my breath for that.

Some of the sweetest things have shown up in our mailbox lately. That little nesting cardinal came from Nicole. She also sent Vann the palm angel you see below.

My Cloth-Paper-Studio friend Wendy sent me the beautiful ATC and the little yellow bird pin.

And the lovely tea towel with the handmade patchwork border is from my Charming Girls tea towel swap partner, Kris.

And remember last week when I wrote about Amy's birth mother Cindy coming to visit us? Well here's the promised picture, below. Can you see the resemblance?

X Amy & Cindy

So now I'm all swimmy-headed, my ears are buzzing, and my head is hurting. So I guess I'll go and lie back down. I couldn't show pictures of your prayers on this post. But those prayers are the best treasures of all. Thank you all, and may God bless you.

I do hope Vann gets to come home, and I pray that he can eat something. But if you are sick with a cold, he may be better at the hospital right now.

I didn't know about Amy's birth mother. This is such a sweet surprise!

Forgive me for not commenting yesterday - tho' I DID check in until I saw your update! I was sick. Better today. I hope YOU are, too! And it was good to hear that Vann sounded more chipper! I know it must have been hard not to visit him, but it was probably best all around. You NEEDED to rest! Prayers continue strong for you both! And so much love is following your every move!

Just a Sunday visit to see how you are, and to let you know that you remain in my thoughts and prayers.

A Sunday visit from me, too. I checked yesterday and last night but didn't scroll down so missed this post.

So glad to hear that Vann was feeling so much better yesterday and hope this is a good sign of wonderful weeks to come.

What a great photo of Amy and her birth mother. Yes, there is a clear resemblance between them.

You take care of yourself, stay cozy and comfy, and have soup and tea. Time out for you! Enjoy the lovely things that surround you there.

Hugs!

So good to hear Vann is better today. Gary, Jerry, Bud, Alton and I are all praying for him, especially after his very tough times last week. Hope you get better too Susan!
