A Tail of Woe and Wonder

Oliver Scarf

Once upon a time there were two sweet doggies. Miss Maggie, a beautiful silky doxie who lives with Kim in an enchanted bungalow in Florida called Daisy Cottage, and Sir Oliver, a handsome Bassett who resides with Kelee in the Katillac Shack.

When Oliver saw a photo of Maggie, his heart went zing and he was in love. He plighted his troth to the fair furry maiden, but Maggie, being a sensible girl, told Oliver that she needed a sign of his love before making such a serious decision. If Oliver would slay a dragon (catch a lizard) for her, she would give serious consideration to the plight of his troth.

Off went courageous and smitten Oliver upon a dragon quest (lizard hunt). For the rest of the story, you'll have to visit Oliver and Kellee. Suffice it to say that Sir Oliver lost part of an important appendage while seeking to slay the dragon. And while his fearless act won Maggie's heart, he misses this erstwhile part.

You can help the brave young knight retrieve his body part by decorating a scarf like the one above and photographing your dog or cat or dragon wearing it. But your participation will help not just Oliver but many other dogs and kitties who have lost their homes to foreclosure and rescession. Please go to Kelee's website and read all about it.

Sophie and I are about to start decorating our scarf. Check back later to see a photo of Soph wearing it.

Aren't those two dogs just the cutest things? I read about their romance on Daisy Cottage.
