Yee Ha!

HD Vann Vann and I were social butterflies this weekend. We enjoyed the anniversary party so much on Saturday night that we decided to attend the hoedown at Bynum's on Sunday afternoon. It was a church event, and the delicious barbecued pork was supplied by the church. Everyone brought a covered dish to go along with the meat, and we all ate ourselves silly.

There were games for the children, hayrides, and even karioke, which was our Pastor Chip's favorite event. I didn't even know he could sing until then.

Everyone was encouraged to wear western wear, which, as you can see, many folks did.

Sophie was one of several doggies who came along with their people. Sophie had an absolute ball and hardly got still the entire afternoon. She visited with everyone. I even took her on a hayride.

Below are some pics from the event. Thanks to Bynum (pictured with Vann below) for opening up her wonderful country place for the event. Thanks to Tony for the hayrides. Thanks to Chip and the Chipettes for the great karioke entertainment. And thanks to everone else for helping make the beautiful spring afternoon such fun. (Click on any photo to enlarge.)

What a party! Hope they veered from all things TX so that the barbecue was PORK! Having lived for 10 hot, HOT years in TX, my southern soul (Memphis) was appalled at barbecued brisket. No, thank you, mam! Make mine pork, please and thank you!

Vann is looking great!! Thanks be to God!

Hugs!
