Quilting Makes the Quilt

I sent me "315 Y Seams" quilt to Donna last week to be quilted--and she's already finished and ready to send it back to me. I can't believe it. And I can't believe how gorgeous her quilting is. Click on either photo to enlarge to see detail.

I've changed the name of the quilt to "Rambling Rose." That's the name of the quilting design that Donna used. And it's prettier than "315 Y Seams." But let me tell you, that quilt does indeed contain 315 set-in seams. I almost lost my mind before I finished piecing it. But I'm glad I did finish. I love it, and it will always remind me of Mama, who passed away in 2005. I was with her when she bought the fabric that I used for the stars.

Thanks, Donna, for your gorgeous work. I can't wait to get my quilt back so I can play with it (and bind it).
