Happy To Be Home

We took a short trip down to Spring Creek on Lake Seminole in South Georgia this week. We had a nice stay with Vann's youngest brother Ben and our future sister-in-law Sue-Bob. They were very gracious and fed us very well. One night we even had a fish fry with some of the neighbors. (Fish caught from the lake by Ben himself.) On the way down, we stopped at Vann's parents' house in Camilla and visited with them. We also drove back to Camilla yesterday to visit with them some more.

Our son Phillip flew in from Wyoming on Sunday night, and he accompanied us to The Creek. He'll be here until Friday morning.

The Creek is a wonderful place to be. Very serene and pretty. It's one of Sophie's favorite places in the world because there are so many places to explore (and squirrels o'plenty). The azaleas and dogwood were blooming, and the temperatures were mild.

Tomorrow I'll tell you about what I did on the way home this afternoon. It was just about more fun than The Creek. Here are a few more pics from The Creek.

I love those pictures! One of my friends lives in Georgia now, and I want to go see her so badly. This pictures cemented it for me. That's wonderful that you guys had a break! I hope you both are doing well.

I love the pictures, too. Serenity and beauty - what more could a person want?

Have just had a notion about how to set 4 UFO Evening Star blocks so hope to do that today. Is your sewing room calling you to make your son a quilt for him to take home tomorrow?!!

The pictures are gorgeous It sure looks peaceful. I am glad you got to go there. Thnks for sharing. I actually tried some free motion quilting yesterday. I am just a beginner so it is not good but I had so much fun and hope to get better with practice.
