OP Day Three

This is it, the last day of Pat Sloan's OP (Orange Pile) Retreat. I'm determined to finish my baby quilt top today.

I have three or four more blocks (depending on whether or not I decide to keep the block I don't like). Then I'll have to join the blocks and add a border (I think it will need one).

So I 'spect I better get my second cup of coffee and get my good self into the sewing room.

Check out Pat's blog this morning. Some gorgeous blocks and quilt tops have already come out of this retreat. You'll want to see them if you haven't already. And check out Nicole's blog. She finished her top yesterday (full size, not a table runner, not a baby quilt). It's fantastic! And since Barbara doesn't have a blog, I'm taking the liberty of showing you her wonderful Halloween quilt. Don't you just love how she placed her orange squares. Hope you don't mind that I'm showing it, Barbara.

I WON! I WON!
I just learned that I won Bonnie's OP Giveaway. I still can't believe it. I've been admiring that apron since she posted it on her blog, Calamity Jane's Cottage, a while back. Along with the apron, I won a matching towel and a set of fat quarters. Can you believe it????Thank you so much, Bonnie. Here's a photo of the apron and the fat quarters (I think) from Bonnie's blog.

I love Barbara's Halloween quilt! And I love your baby quilt! I think you're right, that one block wasn't playing nice with the other blocks. I hope you'll have a picture or two of both quilts when they're all finished.

I am quite green over your wonderful new apron ~ hope your "cowboy" likes it too. :)

But I am most green over your beautiful sewing room ~ shown in a previous post. If that's a mess, then I want to see it when it's all neat and tidy! It's a terrific space! One of these days, should I every manage to get everything neat, tidy and just how I want it to be, I intend to take dozens of pictures from every angle to record the "event" because it will never be that neat again. :)

Ah, I see you won that cute, cute apron plus other goodies. How sweet is that?!

I appreciate your posting my Halloween quilt here! I'm delighted with the way the scrambled block parts look and the little pumpkin eyes peeking out here and there. I especially love the borders and the outer border batik. The completed top can be seen on Pat's site and on her yahoo site. The pumpkin faces don't show up very well in those photos tho.

Thanks, Susan and Carrie!!
