The Power of Prayer

Balloons Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variation nor shadow of turning.
                       --James 1:17

Very, VERY good news today: Dr. L. telephoned Vann a little while ago with the news that according to the blood work from last Monday, Vann's tumor markers are down by 40%. Praise God!

We had to let our blog friends know right away because we know so many of you have been praying and sending loving thoughts to us. As Vann reminded me, the fight's not over (but I feel like we did win a battle). So please continue to pray for Vann's healing. We know that God is listening and we know that he's working in Vann's life and in his body. Thank you all and may God bless you with showers of grace.

I went back to read your November blogs to see what Vann's condition was because I only found your fantastic blog about early December. I am so pleased he is doing better. Our oncologist became one of our best friends - trust and rough times bring out the true person and they see you at your rawest. I have Vann in my prayers. Now work hard and push that 40% to 80% for the next time!

I have to confess I had to look up what a tumor marker is but now I understand better. I am so thankful to God, chemo, everything. Keep the hope in your heart and give Vann kisses everyday. I love you both.

Thank you for the phone call. This is such wonderful news.

I think - no, I KNOW - this proves beyond a reason of a doubt that we can fight hard for ourselves, but any battle is won much faster and easier with a leader and an army. We KNOW who the leader is and all of us who love you & Vann are definitely standing in support! BUNCHES & BUNCHES OF LOVE TODAY & EVERY SINGLE DAY!
