We had a very full weekend. On Saturday, Andy (our daughter who lives near us) came over and we watched The Iron Bowl together. Bama won, something to nothing (I forget the actual score). ROLL TIDE! Can't say it was a nail-biter. Auburn never really threatened. I'm a really true Bama fan, but I think Nick Saban made an ass of himself during the game--especially considering the fact that his team was dominating. Screaming and yelling and kicking and cussing! Is that any example to set for young men? I don't know. Well anyway, now it's on to Atlanta, and let's win there! Try to get a grip, Coach.
Yesterday, I went to church. Vann's tummy is still quite painful from the surgery, so he stayed home. When I returned from church, his friends Gene and Mike were visiting.
I made chicken and rice for lunch; and then in the evening, we were all ready to watch the premier of "24," which for some reason I thought would be on. When we couldn't find it, I looked it up on the Internet and was told that the premier is actually January 11. I have no idea where I got that idea. Wishful thinking, I guess.
Oh, the heart in the photo? It's a gift for a friend.

Hi Susan. I'm taking a break from decorating my Christmas tree.
I wanted to let you and Vann know that you are in my prayers. And, I do believe in praying big, and in praying specific. God is hearing your names from me.

Hope Vann soon will be feeling stronger.
Sometimes I think that a programme is due to be on and get already to watch it only to find I've got it wrong. All this week on one of our channels is Jane Austen. I'm in my element. Last night was Persuasion, tonight Pride & P, then Emma ,Northanger Abbey, and so. Great.

Well, I confess I am SOOOOOO not a fan of ANY sport, so football is a mystery to me. But good sportsmanship ALWAYS applies to ANY situation, so shame on that young man! Bah, Humbug! About '24' - I WISH I had started watching that from its inception. Don't know WHY I never did because it certainly gets rave reviews! I hope Vann's tummy heals quickly. I can imagine how uncomfortable he must feel! Give him a (gentle) hug from me and be SURE he gives you one in return! And your heart is absolutely beautiful. Oh, so is the one you MADE! (Smile!)
