We're home already. Vann needed time to rest up before starting his chemo on Wednesday, so we came on back today. We're all three very tired, especially Vann. But even Sophie is a bit pooped too.
Here are photos I took while at Vann's parents' house. The one at right is (back row, from left) Vann's sister Fran and Vann; (front row, left to right) Vann's brothers Ben and Kenneth.
The second photo is Vann and his Dad Grover. His mom didn't feel like having her photo taken. And the last photo is the lady herself--Miss Sophie Belle Patterpaw.
And here's a note that our friend Betty W. sent to Vann for his prayer quilt. It's a quote from St. Theresa of Avila:
Let nothing disturb you.
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing.
God only is changeless.
Patience gains all things.
Who has God, wants nothing.
God alone suffices.
Thank you, Betty. And thank you, Mary, for delivering it. May God bless you both.

Beautiful family! And Vann, DO get some rest! Really! You will be very glad you did! You KNOW my heart and my prayers are with you both, and my confidence as well that everything is going to be fine! In my language, there's no real phrase for 'I love you.' Instead, we say, "Nei na su tama habi." It LITERALLY means, "I lie down & think of you." But we MEAN it as "You are always with me because I CARE." Today, those are my words to you!
