I consider coffee one of the blessings of life. And next to fabric, yarn is my favorite crafting material. Lucky me! I found a swap that's right up my alley (maybe yours too).
In this swap, swap partners send each other coffee, yarn, and related goodies. I've signed up. Anne, the swap hostess, asks that each swapper post the swap questionnaire on her blog along with her answers. So here's my questionnaire.
Questionnaire
About Your Yarn Passion
1. Do you knit, crochet, or do both? When did you first learn?
A. I have been knitting and crocheting since the late 1960s.
2. Do you like using a particular type of needle or hook? (wood, metal, straight, circular) Is there something you've been wanting to try, or a particular size you always seem to be short on?
A. I prefer straight metal knitting needles and metal crochet hooks. I'm not fond of circular knitting needles.
3. What kind of projects do you enjoy making? Any types you just haven't ever gotten into as much as others?
A. I enjoy making afghans, hats, scarves, baby blankets, and dishcloths. I also like to make crocheted hearts, which I stuff and embellish for knob hangers. I want to learn to knit socks. I'm not interested in making any other garments.
4. What's on your needles\hook right now? What's your oldest UFO (unfinished object)?
A.I have a couple of afghans started (crochet). One is a ripple and the other is a single crocheted cat design crocheted from a chart. I have a jack-o-lantern dishcloth on my knitting needles. The cat afghan is my oldest UFO. I started it in the late 90s.
5. If you were going on vacation tomorrow, what project(s) would travel with you?
A. Maybe that cat afghan.
6. What are your favorite types of yarns? Any you're allergic to, or just hate working with? Anything in particular you've been dying to try?
A. I love Lion Brand yarns, especially Vanna's Choice Worsted Weight. But any medium weight yarns are fine. I don't like bulky yarns.
7. What sort of colors do you love in yarns? Brights? Pastels? More muted colors? Variegated? Are there any you can't stand?
A. I love all the Vanna's Choice colors. I also like bright colors and pastels. My very favorite color is pink. I also like yellow, blue, and green.
Your Coffee Passion
1. Do you prefer caffeinated or not?
A. Caffeinated in the morning, decaf after noon.
2. Whole bean or ground? For what type of pot or press?
A. Ground. I use a Gevalia drip coffee maker.
3. What types of roasts do you enjoy? Are you more the light and lively or dark and robust type?
A. I like dark roasts. Some of my favorites: Barnies Chocolate Cherry Cordial, Barnie's Amaretto, Folger's Black Silk. I also like French Roast coffee.
4. How do you 'take' your coffee? Creamers? Sweetener? Other add ins?
A. With International French vanilla liquid creamer, half and half, or Bailey's Irish Creme.
5. That first morning cup - is it about the taste, or the caffeine?
A. Taste.
6. Do you enjoy going out to coffee shops like Starbucks? What are some of your favorites?
A. I don't like Starbucks. I love Barnie's. I also like Joe Muggs at Books-a-Million.
7. You've just made the perfect cup of coffee - is it in a thick mug, or a thinner cup? Where would you sit to drink it?
A. I like a large thick mug. When I drink my coffee, I usually sit on the sofa with a book.
8. You're enjoying that perfect cup, and have a magic cabinet in your kitchen - when you open it, magically, your favorite treats will appear to enjoy alongside the coffee - what are they? Are they sweet? Crunchy? Soft and flaky?

I saw the title of this post, and thought it said "Amazing Autumn Coffee/Yarn SOUP".
That would be an interesting recipe.

There is something about the way the process the coffee beans in Italy that removes the acid. Just smooth great coffee. If you are interested you can read more about it at www.illy.com
