Good Morning, All You Halloweenies Out There!

Halloween Fabric

Here's a look at some of my Halloween fabric collection. I'm sure I'll use some of it to make my handmade item for the Trick or Treat Swap. (That's supposed to be a segue into my next subject.)

I'm finally finished e-mailing everyone's swap partner. If you haven't received yours, please let me know right away. Some of you have mailed me back and asked to have your partner's blog address so you can get to know a little about her. Not everybody in the swap has a blog, or at least not everybody has given me a blog address. But those I have can be found at the end of yesterday's post. Just click on the link, if your partner has one. If any of the rest of you have blogs, please let me know your address. And remember, don't let your send-to partner know that she's your send-to partner until you mail her package.

We all got a good night's sleep at The Yellow House last night. No deer; at least if there were deer, Sophie slept through them. So we're all wide-eyed and bobtailed around here. Sophie has already been in trouble a couple of times this morning: once for running into the street to greet Walter the Big Black Dog and once for barfing on the carpet.

A couple of blogs to tell you about: Two of my friends (wonderfully artistic quilters, both of them) have begun blogs. Julia Wood at Green Quilts is also author of Fabric Photo Play . And Lisa Allen at Pipkin House is a two-term past president of Birmingham Quilters Guild, of which Julia and I are also members. Both of these quilter artists are brand new to blogging, but you might want to start following their blogs now so you don't miss anything.

Thanks for organizing this swap, Susan. I just checked and see that my swap partner doesn't have a blog, so I will just have to hope she likes what I will send her. I started on my handmade project last night.

I have that red one in each colorway! (or at least 3 color ways...) I can admit that I bought them for the cats...

Sigh. This is such beautiful fabric! And everytime I see your little yellow house picture on the right it makes me smile. Such a perfect home.

I made a Halloween table runner out of that vintagey looking fabric. I think it is actually Thimbleberries? Anyway, I adore that fabric.
